The next time your friends complain about soccer being boring, you can do something slightly more productive than silently mocking their boorish lack of sophistication. You can show them this video of "Football Hero" (after the break), which consists of soccer players kicking balls into a gigantic, vibration-sensitive screen to play Frets on Fire, a freeware adaptation of Guitar Hero's core gameplay.
Then, just for us, make sure you convince them that every soccer match is exactly like this.
While I've admittedly never been a huge soccer fan, I always find myself enjoying the early rounds of the World Cup and thinking it was more fun to watch than I remember it being.
Then, by the end I'm just angry with all the little girls falling over when someone gets within 10 feet of them. They really need to start throwing around yellow cards for flopping, and actually enforce it. Soccer right now is like what the NFL would be if Tom Brady played every position.
Wait.. Americans are dissing the biggest sport in the WORLD when they watch, play and have PROFESSIONAL players of an exclusive American "sport" known as... Lacrosse? Really? HAHAHAHAHA
Just to give everyone in the world (who isn't from America) an idea of what we're missing out on:
Don't lump in all Americans with the ignorant assholes commenting on this article. We're not all like that. Also, justinslot is right, that's more of a Canadian sport. Honestly, Lacrosse isn't popular here at all. I didn't even know there was a professional league in America, I thought it only went to the college level.
Timing looks difficult to deal with, but that's the most active video game I've ever seen. Creative and it looks like a ton of fun! Reminds me of Fusion Frenzy with everyone dressed up as a different color.
