Nice! Carry-over has always been a nice feature of this series!

In R&C2, a R&C1 save file netted you some free weapons.
and in R&C3, R&C2 weapons were free and a R&C save file got you a discount from the weapons vendor!

Not to be a pedantic boob, but I think you mean "dramatically *affect*".

Oh, but to have my ToD and QfB save files back. They now live with my ex-wife. Oh well.

What if you played both the PS3 Ratchet games but you were SO loyal to Sony that you bought a launch 60 gig PS3 to play them on and it bricked and now all your saves are gone? What the hell happens then huh?

I guess people forgot that you can download saves.

I got 100% on Tools of Destruction, though (wish it had trophies!). You could download a save, or earn it again, that's what separates the men from the boys.

Can it be any save game, or does it have to be a completed campaign?

My game file for R&CF:TOD corrupted, but I would gladly play a few minutes again if it nets me good discounts in Crack in Time. Can't say I would play the whole way through again, though.

If you lose your saves i say there is nothing wrong with it, if i were to 100% MGS4 and my save corrupted i would damn well download an identical one.

Do these saves fit with the version of the game? For example: I have the US version of both ToD and QFB; my copy of ACiT must be an US one?

I have played 9 hours of the new Crack in Time and went to load my game to continue playing. I get as far as selecting the saved game and then to the "Loading..." screen where it freezes. I have tried rebooting, shutting everything off and removing/inserting the disk. Nothing works. I only saved one copy of my game play...does anyone know if there is some way to retrieve my game history?
PS3 120gig system...never had any problems up until now...

I bought the game last week and yesterday I managed to finish the game. During gameplay, access the weapon vendors for updates regarding to new weapons, including those from Tools of Destruction such as the Groovitron. When the weapon's preview ends, the game notifies you that you have already bought that weapon before on Polaris and they give you discount by purchasing this weapon. The other part, is located at the Extras Menu. Choose Skins and if you already have a save game from Quest for Booty, you'll be rewarded with a Pirate Hat. If it doesn't work, possibly your save game is corrupted or you actually don't have the save on your PS3.
