Band Hero's DS 'drum skin' in action

Activision is making people believe in the weird DS "drum skin" attachment for Band Hero the best way it knows how: by finding the most excitable shills it can in shopping centers, and putting the game in their hands. Predictably, they love it. We've never seen a mall so full of people willing to dance awkwardly to a DS game.

The buttons that go on top of the DS's buttons are only one of the selling points espoused in this trailer. Band Hero's extensive track list and flexible multiplayer (just like in the console version, you can combine instruments in any configuration) get lip service too. But they aren't as noticeable as that thing you put on the DS to play drums.

At least DJ Hero is a new game and a new genre instead of Guitar Hero 5 with mostly shitty bands.

I'm getting annoyed with the 'Hero' franchise, and Activision for that matter.

I'd sadly rather spend my money on something published by EA, i mean at least they've been TRYING.

:/ I looked at the song list, and its just god awful for my taste. This is not a reason for me to pick up my DS for a music game, I might just get DJ Hero for my Xbox. But then again I might not because I suck at music games >_< I can't even play medium.........
This seems like a flop trying to take GH or RB down, when its the same publisher (or developer, IDK).

Band Hero looks kinda cool, at least a step in the sort of direction I've thought it sould go in anyways, they've done the whole rock thing, why not be more poppy as that is called "popular" music for a reason lol.

Silly thing with the Hero range on the ds is that everyone with a dsi is screwed!
