- Game Informer (93/100): "While I preferred the tight-knit story of brotherhood and betrayal in The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony delivers more explosive weapons, death-defying missions, and off-the-wall characters. Don't miss your chance to close out the GTA IV experience in style."
- IGN (92/100): "The Ballad of Gay Tony is the perfect way to close out the GTA IV saga. Finally, we know what happened to the diamonds stolen in the main story a year-and-a-half ago. Though Luis Lopez doesn't have much of a story at all (this is the ballad of his boss, after all), the supporting cast is phenomenal. There are a lot of hilarious moments and ludicrous missions that will please GTA fans. Sure, a few of the missions fall flat compared to the wild nature of others, but all-in-all this is a fine package and worth 20 bucks. "
- 1UP (A-): "This has been one hell of a ride. I'm going to miss seeing something new in Liberty City, as I've probably been to every available nook and cranny. I suppose I could still go hunting for those damn pigeons, but with so many other games coming out in the coming months, I don't know where I'll find the time... at least until Rockstar gives me a ticket to their next world of crime, violence, and vice."
- Eurogamer (80/100): "Perhaps Tony Prince does nothing to drag the series forward -- somewhat fittingly for a man with his head stuck in the eighties -- but the episode Rockstar has named in his honour is a colourful and pleasingly unpredictable adventure that gets better throughout and ends on a high."

Looks good. Hopefully this is a timed exclusive so I can play it on the PS3. Even better, maybe Rockstar can find a loop hole like Netflix did. ::crosses fingers::

So glad I won't get to enjoy either DLC *sigh and sigh, some more*
That being said, uhh, I think that's all I have to say....Well, I'll say this, I LOVED GTA IV even though after getting over the visuals and animations, it was still GTA ,which can get tedious, after a while. That's about the only 'complaint' I've had about the series and that's why I hope for GTA V, they ramp up the game play value. I really want to see my dream of choosing between either a protagonist and antagonist at the beginning of the game and going through their individual storylines, seeing how they cross but also giving a ton of moral decisions to make which can change the outcome of either character.
Maybe you start off as the good guy then turn bad or vice versa or, you can just stay the course....or maybe there is a "happy medium". Imagine the replay value and also include achieving things in the storyline that can can give you more in the online gameplay, like in Unchartered 2.
The only thing about this idea is that I don't think it's achievable on both the PS3 AND 360. It would have to be a PS3 exclusey due to the disc space just like Heavy Rain, which is doing basically what I have wanted since first playing GTA IV...sans the online, which I really don't care about. Lol. That online idea was just for those who love online gaming.
Anyway, enjoy the new DLC, 360ers. I envy you, for this.

With any luck this whole exclusivity thing will be timed. Maybe in a few months they'll sell you guys the Stories from Liberty City disc?
I have to agree with pibs a few posts up, console monogamy, especially exclusives, is stupid. It's like this giant game of one-upsmanship, except that the only people who really lose are the ones who can't afford both consoles.

Actually, I don't think it's silly, even if I'm on the losing end, this go round. It's business and, in this gen, with the PS3 having so much more disc space to maneuver (and, arguably, better tech), some devs cherish that they can push games on the PS3 more so than on the 360...yet some will complain about the PS3. Lol. I don't see anything wrong with exclusey's, and, YES, I would love to believe that the DLC will materialize as disc form for the PS3 sooner or later. Definitely could be timed but I thought I read that it's not in an interview with a Rockstar dev or something. Eh, whatever. The PS3 will get Agent and Heavy Rain, among others, next year as exclusives...actually, not sure about Agent coming next year and I can't forget about L.A.Noire still being exclusive...or is it? Eh, whatever. It's all good.

What is the point of a rating system if a site can not hand out anything lower than an 8? If anything review scores have been inflated over the years not thanks to: fanboys, PR, marketing, hype, etc... Just because you think that a game deserves a 9, does not mean the person reviewing it has to think the same way about it either.
In short, review scores are bullshit. The score of the game should be secretly hidden inside the actually review, so that people will have to actually READ the reviews, rather than look at an arbitrary number.
