Uhh I don't really care to much about publishers, hahah, if it is a good game, I see no reason why I should not get it. btw; I'll be playing Borderlands, BC2, and MW2 a lot in the future, so if you want a game add my PSN: firebird14 :D

It might be just me, but I hate collectors editions that have things that make the game easier.

As long as EA dosen't include the option to "Buy Upgrades and weapons with MS points or real money" I'm all for it.

Thieve's that'll sellout for money I say!

It's not a CE. It's a LE. Same price as the regular game, just gives incentives for Day One buyers. And the incentives are all things anyone can get.

If you buy the game a week or two after it's been released then a lot of hardcore players will already have everything unlocked anyway.

Not usually. As far naming conventions go with games, CE (typically) cost extra. LE (typically) don't. BlazBlue had a LE to encourage people to buy new and on day one to get extra content. This seems to be the same exact thing to me.

It's not like they are "making the game easier" for people that pay extra. It's just allowing people to have access to 4 unlockables right off the bat. And as I said, if you start the game a few weeks late, then a lot of other people would have the unlocks anyway.

I'm 10x more excited about BC2 than I am for MW2. Something about it not having anything to do with Activision makes it much more appealing.

Neither interest me; someone needs to reinvent the FPS genre because it's becoming increasingly stale.

I'll be buying both since I'm willing to get any game as long as it is good. I don't care about the publisher, especially since I bought BF2 back when EA was the devil.

There isn't much you can do to make shooters more inventive, except to make things bigger, badder, and more badass! Other than that, you will always be shooting something with some sort of weapon. That is what makes it a shooter.

The developers of Timeshift added their own spin on the genre and it probably would of worked too if it weren't for the fact that they are terrible developers (and those medeling kids).

Basically, you can change everything, all you need is a bit of creativity.

I find it rather interesting that people hate whatever publisher is the most popular. Since EA is no longer the top publisher, it's no longer "cool" to boycott their products. However, saying you hate Activision is "cool" because they're so popular. Even though EA still cranks out endless amounts of sequels, and some of Activision's games are still pushing games into new directions.

People aren't hating on EA as much because they have responded to the hate a bit and done some more to encourage creativity lately.

My dislike for Activision has nothing to do with their games sweetie. It's cute that you think it's "cool" to boycott whoever is "most popular" though.

Most people who dislike Activision have valid reasons. Mainly because their CEO is the biggest fuckwad in the industry. Even EA didn't have a douche like Kotick upstairs. Apparently you aren't familiar with the way Mr. Kotick thinks of you, the consumer, or rather an easily exploitable muppet.

So you're right ducttape, keep on buying those games. Wait, I suppose I should ask Mr. Kotick to keep pulling on your strings.

I don't understand the Kotick hate. He hasn't said anything that's any different from the way all major execs think. The difference is that he said it.

He's despicable and the attitudes he condone are dangerous to the consumer, but is he really any more worthy of hate than the next guy simply because he said what everyone is thinking?

it's not that it doesn't have anything to do with activision, BFBC2 plain looks like damn fun.

Sooooo...how do I order this LE bad boy? i don't see it listed on Amazon or Gamestop.

I hope it's not like the Uncharted 2 purba edition snafu.

As much as i LOVE the Battlefield series and I own all of them, they really need to drop the Bad Company sub title and call it something else. You buy BF for amazing top notch MP not SP and the SP in BC1 wasn't so hot.

Enough of my whining, I can't frakkin wait for BFBC2 and BF3!

I'd be more excited for this if they released ANY info about the single player at all. The campaign in BF:BC was funny and light hearted and really underrated, if you ask me.

That being said, the multiplayer does look bad ass. I just hope they haven't totally scrapped the campaign.

Completely! I think that speaks to how polarizing this game was, though.

Hardcore Battlfield fans didn't like how the game's sole focus wasn't on the multiplayer experience. (Though the multi was great!)

I would never consider myself a Battlefield fan - I find the wing riding, spawn camping mayhem annoying and frustrating. I loved BF:BC because they curbed a bit of that for the multi and also added a pretty entertaining campaign mode to it. It felt more like a 60 dollar game to me, because of that.

Yeah, I was hoping they would have parody trailers like they didfor Bad Company 1
but if the campaign is half a good as BC1 then this will be better than MW2 by far.

I don't know why but CoD's campaigns are just too...serious

There isn't much info on BF3 as of right now but BF2 did NOT have destruction. It came out in 2004 for the PC. It was known for modern combat setting (unlike its predecessors), 64 Players, and amazing squad-based gameplay. Even though I love BF:BC's MP for 360, me and my buds still play BF2 all the time. You can get the entire BF2 series and all its expansion packs on Steam for like 30 bucks.

With that said, I believe and hope that BF3 will support the rumor 128 players with the Frostbite engine (meaning full destruction).

$30.00!!!

Try 9.99 for basic BF2 and 19.99 for the full meal deal. Remember the booster packs, armor fury & euro Forces are now free. The only thing the full collection would give you is Special Forces - worth it IMHO.

I'm a little slow to get to some games so I just recently picked up the first BF:BC. I love the multiplayer, its really good and I'm excited about the next one. But there is one thing thats got me worried, the game freezes way too often. Wether it's the single or multiplayer it locks up randomly. Nothing else has ever caused my launch console (20gb) to do this.

Odd. I've never heard of a specific title causing lock-ups. But I've got Bad Company for the PS3, not the 360.

@ Nathan
There's still a ton of people playing this thing online. I was pretty shocked cause I didn't expect it to still be as popular as it is.

So now they're taking out what was in the first Bad Company (the last two 'bonuses') and trying to make the Limited Edition seem better?

Does not compute.

I can read. I know it doesn't cost extra. My point is that they removed the default Tracer Pistol (found in BC) from the list for BF:BC II and are placing it as special content for the LE version and not including it in the 'regular' version.
