So this is like what they did with BlazBlue? Give everyone who bought it new in the first month a limited edition. If so, then it is a great method of getting extra sales in the first month (for PR purposes) as well as to ensure that people buy it new. It is much better than the ridiculous pre-order bonuses, and other questionable methods.

Ok, thanks for the info Cyryus. I'll probably pick up the Battlefield 2: Ultimate Collection from Steam, it's only £15, which is awesomely cheap.

And I feel what you're saying Nitro. They should keep a clear, defined line between the two games.

Dear Alex,

.45 ACP rounds do not go "pew-pew" but rather "kaboom-kaboom". The 1911 is not just a pistol, it is the most iconic handgun of the 20th and 21st century.

Thanks,
Chopper

The .45 1911 is much more iconic (and powerful) than the 9 mm Luger.

What are you talking about, Alex? All of these unlocks are for BF:BC2. The M1A1 and M1911 are already IN 1943.

Also, all of these things are unlockable later on. Those who purchase the limited edition just get them immediately.

These unlocks better not be overpowered or else made available for all as there might be a Special Forces situation happening again. When the BF2 Special Forces expansion was released, DICE added the new weapon unlocks into the vanilla game for SF owners only and guns like the G36E and L96 were immensely overpowered. Don't know how they perform now in the 1.5 patch though.

Does it bother anyone else that there are faintly-visible screennames above the copters?

Like a lot of people, I loved Bad Company. But I didn't play the multiplayer much, but I really liked the SP. If they'd scrapped SP and gone back to multi only, I'd never purchase this game.

I think the Game Trailers show on Spike did a segment about Bad Company 2 several months ago. What I remember seeing was pretty cool.

A new trailer for Bad Company 2 LE is out today.

I'm pretty sure you misread the press release, Alex. The other two guns aren't for BF 1943, they're guns *from* BF 1943, to be used in BFBC2.

"The Battlefield: Bad Company 2Limited Edition delivers six special customizations early to give players a day one advantage in multiplayer matches... Seasoned veterans of Battlefield 1943(TM) will be able to immediately re-acquaint themselves with two classic and highly powerful weapons, the M1A1 submachine gun and the M1911 pistol."

I guess the only reason I didn't think the campaign was all that amazing was that I was playing Call of Duty 4's campaign at the same time. :\ Rough game to compete with. But BF:BC's MP is top notch chaos :)

This review is completely wrong... Alexander Sliwinski hasn't been doing his research correctly... The Limited Edition of Bad Company 2 includes the M1A1 Thompson and the M1911 Pistol, they are not weapons for Battlefield 1943 but weapons from 1943 being ported in to Bad Company 2. Please get your facts right first...
