I like Wallace and Gromit but are these games any good? Telltale are usually hit and miss with me. They've lately been getting better though with their Monkey Island efforts.

Is there a demo out for this series?

There is a demo for the first episode on XBLA and it's pretty lengthy. I thought it was fun.

It's obviously nothing ground breaking but episode 1 was very very fun. Solid adventure gameplay. I think it was money well spent. Even if I wasn't a fan of the Wallace And Gromit animations, I still would have enjoyed it.

Oh sorry Tony, I meant PC demo. But I'm guessing it's on there too then. Thanks.

Also if any of you guys are adventure game fans you should check out Machinarium. Easily the best adventure game I've played in many years. And the artstyle is amazing. I'll check out Wallace and Gromit soon then.

I'd say it's definitely better than their first season of Sam and Max or SBCG4AP, but not as good as Season Two of Sam and Max. Not sure where I'd place Monkey Island yet, though.

Warning: This is from a person who loves everything and anything Telltale. Opinions may not be anywhere close to compatible.

I should get all these, that would make for a good weekend of gaming. I'm a fan of good animation, and W&G has always been awesome.

Wallace and Gromit or Sam and Max? If you could only get one which one would you get?

I guess it would depend on what your sense of humor is too. British humor isn't for everyone.

Very valid point to take into consideration.

Sam and Max, easily. Though Wallace and Gromit is definitely very GOOD, and I love the franchise, Sam and Max is just better in a lot of respects.

"The mathletes out there have already figured this out, but that puts the entire season at $40 – a deal if it were a retail package."
How? The whole season on PC sells for $34.95 on their site. Add shipping to that(which probably brings it to about that $40) and you get a DVD with disc-check validation in addition to the downloads.

"With three titles dropping on one day, I'm not sure we'd call this "episodic" in the traditional sense."
It is traditionally episodic on the PC, and it was developed more episodically than most other ventures(I'm looking at you, Valve). This is a case of Microsoft being a third party that screwed Telltale over.

Hey guys, remember that proceeds from purchases of the Special Edition DVD from November 4-8 go to Child's Play.

Aside from being an excellent game, Wallace and Gromit really nailed the controls compared to Monkey Island and Sam & Max. I enjoyed the control method much more than the usual point&click with a mouse.
