A number of dirt-digging zombophiles have unearthed a pair of suggestive errors buried within the code for the Left 4 Dead 2 PC demo. These error messages are meant to appear after a player has been kicked from an online multiplayer match after failing to load a DLC map that the match host has selected for play. These disabled messages seem to indicate the names of what many now believe to be two DLC releases planned for the future: The "Miracle Pack" and the "Apocalyptic Pack."
Frankly, we think the game's already got its fair share of the Apocalypse, not to mention plenty of miracles, which is the only way we can explain how four people can survive continuous encounters with a city's worth of the walking dead. Still, we've contacted Valve to see if these two messages are a sign of more disastrous -- or miraculous -- things to come.

Has Valve stated plans for how the content from L4D will or will not fit in with L4D2?

The characters from L4D and L4D2 will be able to join each other on teaparties.

That's what I want to know. I think DLC is just as much of a curse as it is a gift.

Some people are saying that you'll be able to browse your 'Friends now playing' list in L4D2 and you'll be able to see your friends playing L4D1. If you join a friend's L4D1 game, L4D2 will exit out and you'll load up L4D1.

It's a 1gb+ demo so you'll need a single layer dvd.
Just copy the folder to the DVD and burn using windows.
The load times will be a bit longer then if you downloaded the demo however.
If you did it right when you put the disc in it will show up as a mixed media disc on the 360. Go to my games tab on the 360 and youll see Left 4 Dead 2

FYI much like the RE5 demo the L4D2 demo is now on the internets.
Not going to say where to look but it's pretty obvious.
Just download it and burn to a disc (Will work in any 360)
Still feels weird downloading a demo like this but it's the only way i'll be able to play it at the moment

You don't need a modded 360? Or Dual Layer disks?

@ Sandmonkey
No you don't.
IIRC you just burn as data disc to CD or DVD (depnding on size of demo).
I'm gonna download it later :D

Nope I played both the bayonetta and re5 demos like this as well as numerous others.
They won't ban you for this since it's just a demo

If you didn't preorder it, you can still go on your favorite torrent site to get the demo. You need to burn a DVD for the 360 version; a little more difficult on PC.

I get the feeling valve will want PC to pay for it too, one of the biggest excuses they made for having L4D2 out so close to L4D1 was that L4D2 was being designed from the ground up to be a platform that would last much longer, and i doubt they intend it to be free

Nah I think it will be free on PC. That's not a "rub it in their face" comment. I think it's really lame that MS makes them charge for this stuff on XBL.

If it was free for PC then why would it have a you don't have this pack message for the PC? You'll be forced to patch, as this is Steam.

I really hope that the DLC's being referred to as "packs" somehow implies they will be more than just extra campaigns. If they add one or two guns, melee weapons, and/or special infected per pack, I would gladly pay ~$10 per pack. And if Crash Course works with L4D2, that is just icing on the cake.

I hope the Miracle Pack is about God sending down angels to save the 4 characters (reasons unknown) but the angels fail and become zombies too, so now you have to kill them as well. They'll be the new Witches.

They are going to have to work very quickly to ship that DLC before L4D 3.
