They had a better chance of people impulse buying this game because it has "Zombie" in the title. They shouldn't of even released this trailer, because now we know it's shit.

And for a few less bucks you can get Crash Bandicoot, Silent Hill, and others. I just don't understand Sony's plans for minis.

it's not sony. the people publishing the game make their own prices. I assume sony thought they would charge $2 a game.

$8 for this is outrageous when burnout paradise is $15

This isn't the first new Mini since Oct 1. There were like 2 new ones last week that were unannounced. Can't think of the games off the top of my head but someone who has access to MediaGo or the PSN can check. I think one was a MahJong game.

Mahjong Artifacts 2 and Vempire were the minis from last week. Priced more reasonably at $4 and $5, respectively.

I bought the Mahjong game, pretty good, actually.

We had two new Minis (in the US Store) just last week, no? Or two weeks ago. Whatever it was, this isn't the first Mini since October 1st.

I don't understand. Mini's by Sony decree, must have less functionality (no online capabilities) and yet some are price like regular PSN games. I'm not getting anywhere near these until this gets sorted out.

Sony lives in their own little fantasy world, where everyone thinks games on Sony systems are the best and worth paying a premium for vs the Iphone. That's the only thing I can figure. Hubris, basically.

You would be forgiven for thinking it was the first new Mini in a while, the PSN store is horrible to navigate as a user. Every bit as frustrating as the iPhone App Store, albeit with more overpriced games.

I completely disagree. I feel that XBL is a complete pain in the ass to navigate, and PSN Store is a dream. Everything is laid out in front of you on a single screen with multiple navigation options. New Releases, games by title, etc. Everything has a date slapped on it as well. If you go to PSP games and then to Minis it will show the latest games right at the very beginning. How is that horrible navigation?

I don't think XBLA is all that great, either. The problem with that is mostly that LIPS/Guitar Hero/Rock Band totally dominate all promotional space and you can't find anything you might care about.

Whether in Media Go or on the PSP, I really struggle to find games I'm looking for.

The only thing that I can figure is Sony thinks we are all idiots and we are going to jump @ whatever garabge they put in front of us with the catch "Minis" title - I only pray we all vote with our wallets and dont support the Minis program until they get the pricing right... I am still pissed about the 10.99 price for Tetris - the only Minis I was excited for - that was before I seen the price mind you... PASS on the Minis...

You know the developers set the price for minis right? Not Sony. Just sayin'.

Wow - that's one of the worst trailers I've seen in ages. Should've at least included some sounds from the game itself.

And if there was ever a trailer in need of a Vincent Price-like voiceover, this'd be it.

I might pick this up if it is well reviewed. FYI it is powered by the Vicious Engine which also powered full PSP games like Dead Head Fred and Puzzle Quest, so there is definitely some potential there.

BTW if anyone is interested on more information about the various PSP minis out there, or in development, you should check out:

Actually, that scares me about this title. I dunno about Dead Head Fred, but Puzzlequest was a horrible port to PSP.

Besides all the bugs, it would sometimes freeze when too much action happened on screen. You'd have to take out the battery to reset it. (Still ended up finishing the game, but it was annoying as heck).

"Zombie Tycoon isn't priced like a phone game, either. At $7.99 (£3.99/€4.99)"

Uhh...have you gone to the get games part of a Verizon phone? Yah...monthly and unlimited are right around that ballpark. Sonic 2 on 360? 5$. On my LG enV Touch? 8$.

Also got Critter Crunch for PS3 and my Touch. Both were 7$. While very noble to keep the excellent ps3 price that, the phone version(while still fun) just doesn't compare anymore...but I think Verizons money bleeding tactics affect everyone after awhile...
