Guitar Hero 5: November DLC
Sure, November may lack the phonetic building blocks which allow the word "Rock" to be tucked in there somehow, but that doesn't mean it won't bring any hard-rockin' jams to Guitar Hero 5. We've got the full list of DLC that's coming to the game next month posted after the jump, including selections from Lenny Kravitz, Metallica, KISS and others. One bundle, the "Neversoft Thanks the Fans Track Pack," will be absolutely free. The other packs, will follow the 160
($2, 200 Wii Points) per song, 440
($5.50, 550 Wii Points) per three-song pack pricing structure of last month's releases.
In addition, on Nov. 5, players will be able to import 61 of Band Hero's tracks into Guitar Hero 5 for 400
($5, 500 Wii Points), or 69 of Guitar Hero 5's tracks into Band Hero for 480

only took them a year, but wii owners can now stop bitching about not getting a crap metallica album
Young_Nastyman @ Oct 30th 2009 3:14PM
So instead of getting DLC on the first week of Nov you get to go out instead and buy Band Hero?
So much for weekly DLC Activision
Leobebes (BDF: Braid Defence Force) @ Oct 30th 2009 3:40PM
I agree with you creepy, drug riddled John Lennon. BTW even after a few weeks of release the Beatles Rock Band is still special. The Abbey Road Melody is a gift from the heavens!
Eric @ Oct 30th 2009 3:16PM
I love how there thanks for the fans one is all shit no one would never listen too. way to go dicks.
Michael T [Planeteer | Power of Mr. T] @ Oct 30th 2009 3:28PM
More like the Neversoft "Thanks" The Fans Track Pack.
Leobebes (BDF: Braid Defence Force) @ Oct 30th 2009 3:42PM
BTW those tracks are all from Kotick's playlist. That penny punching, little rat bastard has horrible taste in music as well.
Tegolin @ Oct 30th 2009 5:09PM
Agree with everything except An Endless Sporadic.
Their the only good thing about Neversoft.
T @ Oct 30th 2009 3:21PM
Wait wait wait wait wait.
GH5 can export into Band Hero, or Band Hero can export into GH5. But you have to pay BOTH TIMES!?
That is really, really, sad. And pretty much confirms that come GH6, BH2, or GH:World Tour 2....you won't be able to export a second time. Not to mention furthers the point that one of these discs (if not both) could've been cannibalized as DLC for ther other band game that was only out for 4 months before it was obsolete.
Matthew Perry @ Oct 30th 2009 3:32PM
You do realize that RB is going to be the same way now, right?
Without this method, you could hypothetically have one person buy a copy and the whole world can have the songs for free. That's not being nice to the customer, that's bad business.
Young_Nastyman @ Oct 30th 2009 3:43PM
@Mathew Perry
except you get all the songs in the game, not a portion of them
Matthew Perry @ Oct 30th 2009 4:33PM
@Nastyman
Band Hero -> Guitar Hero 5 = 61/65 songs exportable = 94% export rate
Rock Band -> Rock Band 2 = 55/58 songs exportable = 95% export rate
Yeah, they're lagging waaaaaaay behind the competition there.
Dumbass.
T @ Oct 30th 2009 8:38PM
Your math sucks.
GHWT -> GH5 = 35/85 songs exportable = 41% export rate.
GHSH -> GH5 = 21/48 songs exportable = 43% export rate.
And of course, neither band-centric game released this year will be exportable. Period. So that's a solid 0% right there. So yeah, they're lagging pretty far behind. And no, don't give me "They can't export" business, because both Metallica and Van Halen have had no issue with providing songs for discs not focused on them in the past.
So yeah, if you cherry pick your games, it's close. But if you actually take every title into consideration...it's not even remotely close.
Taiko Drum Grandmaster @ Oct 30th 2009 3:21PM
Did they just...TRY to make Guitar Hero 5 complete garbage? I mean, the original tracklist is terrible, and now the DLC is terrible.
TC81190 @ Oct 30th 2009 9:08PM
The original tracklist actually has a lot of good bands in it that haven't been in music games before or not in enough music games before (Sunny Day Real Estate, Elliott Smith, Gorillaz etc.) but yeah this DLC is garbage.
ScottG13 @ Oct 30th 2009 3:33PM
Anyone out there really still feel like GH is the platform of choice?
Blech.
Now DJ Hero... that's a different horse all together. :)
VaultBoy @ Oct 30th 2009 5:08PM
Yes. The inbred disfigured offspring of Beatmania that had been beaten to death ten years ago. BTW Kenny Rogers, why can't I find your chicken resteraunts? I have been curious for the longest time.
Nicknin10do @ Oct 30th 2009 3:34PM
I dont buy GH DLC, and this is why.
Im so confused to how they import songs to other games.
Doesn't help they have, like, 3 different ones goin at a time.
murph @ Oct 30th 2009 3:35PM
still no more imports from GHWT and GHSH?? laaaaame.
i was giving them the benefit of the doubt, and figured they would release more to coincide with the release of Band Hero...but apparently not. GH DLC is pathetic.
Ark Angel @ Oct 30th 2009 3:35PM
I might pick up one of the Kiss tracks and one of the Kravitz Songs.. but not the whole set of either.
Still at least Kiss is what Guitar Hero is all about... I prefer getting some of the classic 70's Rock over the new stuff that call's itself rock these days. I mean come on... Taylor Swift... Kanye is probably mad cause Beyonce isn't on Band Hero... or is she?
VaultBoy @ Oct 30th 2009 5:10PM
Whatever it is, it's the greatest music game of all time.
FYIan @ Oct 30th 2009 3:51PM
Grr...
Guitar Hero has thus far been my platform of choice because Rock Band, for some strange reason I can't explain, bores me to death and I enjoy the GH instruments more (5 drum pads) and many of the software features (party mode, expert+ drums, etc), but I cannot stand GH's DLC policy and I refuse to purchase any DLC until they get their act together.
In fact, I'll most likely switch over to Rock Band come RB3 and say to hell with GH.
Samuel Vimes @ Oct 30th 2009 4:19PM
Might have been interested had they not been on their 19th installment of this game since 2005. Milk milk milk. Less GHs, more support.
OMGOMG @ Oct 30th 2009 5:06PM
Wow. Kiss and Lenny Kravitz? Why didn't they add Bon Jovi and Poison to really drive home the garbage DLC this month?
Kizzle @ Oct 31st 2009 1:53PM
You shut your ignorant mouth immediately. I Was Made For Loving You is going to be fantastic.
Eh @ Oct 30th 2009 5:12PM
Thats a shitty month of DLC. Are they allergic too variety? Or money for that matter?
Luigi193 @ Oct 30th 2009 5:23PM
Sweet Mother of God… I was made for loving you baby!!!
Guess I have a reason to turn on guitar hero this month!!!
notscottish9111 @ Oct 30th 2009 7:43PM
THEY GIVE YOU FREE STUFF
JESUS CHRIST, YOU COMPLAIN WHEN THEY GIVE YOU FREE STUFF
Torque_AOD @ Oct 31st 2009 8:56PM
Because their free stuff, is SHIT!!!! Did anyone within the GH community requested "You Really Like Me" by Davidicus, or "RockNRola" by Nancy Fullforce.
Seriously, If you want to thank the fans, give them songs that the majority has requested for free or at least discount the month's DLC.
It's like you go to the mall's food court to try out some free samples, and you end up getting food poisoning.
M. Dizzy @ Nov 3rd 2009 6:16PM
Harmonix gave us "Still Alive" for free.
Red Octane gives us "RocknRola" for free.
notice the difference?
SpiderMike @ Oct 31st 2009 1:05PM
LOUD NOISES!!!!!!!!!
Kizzle @ Oct 31st 2009 1:52PM
Aw. I want those latter two KISS tracks for RB.
ontheroxx @ Nov 5th 2009 5:39PM
why complain about anything that's FREE, fools?? sure, could be better or known stuff, but it isnt, it's FREEEEE so just take it, play it, learn some new bands. if you dont want that, then dont download it and go back to playing the same damn songs you're already sick of. haha. bunch of whiners!
VaultBoy @ Nov 16th 2009 3:48PM
Ahem...YEAH!
VaultBoy @ Nov 16th 2009 3:53PM
Fly Away by Lenny Kravitz, a KISS pack? Free stuff? Not much cause for complaint here. Endless Sporatic is always great, hope they come up with something really good for December. Doesn't happen often but if they redo "We Three Kings" again or perhaps a metal cover of "Carol of the Bells" performed by Steve Oumiette I'd be down for that. His cover songs are great!
