Would love to see more from bands Rage Against the Machine, Marilyn Manson, Smashing Pumpkins and Stone Temple Pilots.

Those are some great Foo songs... I don't care that there's already a lot of Foo songs on RB when they give us songs of that quality. And if Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl are smart enough (unlike most in the business) to realize that the future of music involves heavy involvement in rythm based games then all the more power to them. I'm pretty sure Harmonix would love for more bands and artists to agree to getting their music distributed this way, but unfortunately a lot are just too stupid or too old-fashioned to get where the future is going.

11/20/07 - Rock Band 1 Disc (1) - Learn to Fly
09/14/08 - Rock Band 2 Disc (1) - Everlong
11/11/08 - The Colour and the Shape (12) - Doll; Enough Space; February Stars; Hey, Johnny Park!; Monkey Wrench, My Hero, My Poor Brain, New Way Home, See You, Up in Arms, Walking After You, Wind Up
12/23/08 - Foo Fighters Pack 01 (3) - DOA; This is a Call; Times Like These
08/18/09 - Foo Fighters Pack 02 (3) - All My Life, I'll Stick Around, Lonely as You
11/03/09 - Lego Rock Band (1) - Breakout
11/03/09 - Foo Fighters Pack 03 (4) - Best of You, The Pretender, Wheels, Word Forward

Those are actually fairly staggered releases -- the only real 'crunch' was the album + Pack 01, and if you take the album out they've got about as many tracks as quite a few bands. They also represent about 2.6% of the song library, heh. :3

Yeah. Throw in some Them Crooked Vultures and the entire Probot album (a heavy metal side project) to continue the Grohl-ification of RB!

I just realized you guys were wrong. David Grohl didn't play in any of the Nirvana tracks this week. He didn't join till a little bit before Nevermind came out.

Dammit that Bleach pack sounds insanely amazing...

But I think if it were up to Mr. Cobain, I'm sure he'd probably much rather me learn About A Girl on real instrument than pretend to play it on a plastic toy guitar.

So I think I'll pass on that one :]

@wiredknight,

I believe you are being dishonest. Had the band in question been one that you loved, you wouldn't complain. You are only upset because the band with the most track posts over the last 4 months happens to be one you dont like. If YOUR favorite band had that many tracks posted, other people would bitch and you would tell everyone "shut up 'blah blah blah' rules!".

How about some bands that don't sound like a bunch of guys slamming their instruments against a wall while screaming into a mic? There's more artistry in a single Pink Floyd guitar solo than in all of Grohl's work combined....How about some bands with great lyrics like The Doors? The main problem with these games is that they are filled with a ton of crap rather than focusing on some actual GOOD music....Rush's Moving Pictures and The Who track pack are the best releases so far. Neal Pert has more talent in his pinky than everyone even remotely involved with Nirvana and Foo Fighters combined. I am tired of all this kiddie crap with people that can barely play their instruments but have one of those computer programs that makes it sound like they know what they are doing.
