Namco announces 2.5 million shipped copies of Tekken 6

The portion of those 2.5 million earmarked for Europe, for example, just got there today, and it's only been in stores for around two days in North America. All we know based on this is that Namco expects to sell a ton of copies, not that it is selling a ton. Although we're sure it will.
Maybe that's the idea -- to build excitement about Tekken 6 by showing how confident the publisher is. To print up 2.5 million of the things (some of which come in totally huge boxes), Namco must really believe it's on to something!

People still label them as fighter and even put them in the same category sometimes.
Come the end of the year when they will be giving out awards it's for best fighter.
Not best 2D fighter and 3D fighter.

It's just a remake of an old fighting game. Yea, it's a great remake, one that sits on the top of my PSN list, but nonetheless it's still a remake.
So when Infinity Ward releases the original Call of Duty on PSN/XBLA are we going to consider it to be on-par with the rest of 2009's FPS lineup?

It's not a variety at all. It's one console holding the other back. It's been evident this entire generation. Especially where current exclusives are concerned. ODST can't hold anything up to Uncharted 2, in terms of graphic achievements or game play quality. Hell, ND said it themselves a game like Uncharted 2 couldn't even run on the 360.
Yet you wanna sit here and act like there's nothing to compare. As if they're the same exact things. And if you weren't such a jackass, you'd realize multiplatform games are SUPPOSED to look/play exactly the same. That's the entire fucking point. If developers took the time to properly develop a game best suited to the PS3's strengths, MS would lose an incredible amount of business, as would the developers who'd come to find that no one would wanna buy the lack luster 360 version.

I've always wondered why people insult Joystiq and its commenters when they post here. I mean, Darth Whatchamaman did it a few days ago over that political argument, and now 1251 is doing it (incidentally, he has 85 comments here - I imagine he goes out and gets laid straight after he posts every time while the rest of us, upon posting, just refresh repeatedly until something else happens).
The internet is a pretty big place. There are hundreds and hundreds of gaming blogs out there which you can post instead of sitting on Joystiq moaning or, in the case of the douchebag above me, mouthing off about how great their Friday night is to a gaming website. You could go there. Or you could quit making empty - and meaningless - threats and just be mature about the argument you're (intentionally) participating in.
And for God's sake, stop trying to be, as one Joystiq legend doth sayeth, "holier than thou". You'll be mocked for the same reason Twitter will eventually fade away - I don't, and very few people do, care about your life, or the contents of it. I'm not going to think to myself: 'My God...he had a beer...I haven't...welp, he's won this round'. I'm going to think 'wow, where did he get the fake ID to get that?'. N same here, no1 on my friends list has it. If u do add fc_Forchy on psn. I've always played it on PS, so figured I'd get it on ps3 n maybe the old school players will b on there. Btw any1 bought the tekken fight stick? Any good? I just got a round2 sfIV tournament edition stick. Love it. Already have the 1st one for x360 n ps3. But my buttons weren't working proper on my ps3 1, so I exchanged it n got the round 2, nice art n the all blacks nice. Thank god for Eb extended warrenty. Works great for tekken. Probably wore my 1st one out with sfIV, blazeblue, & marvel vs capcom lol.
