Hey Japan. Remember all those games you made for, oh, decades that we couldn't wait to get our hands on in the West? Well, we thought for once we'd give something back. We know you like Batman. And Batman: Arkham Asylum is really wonderful. So of course you've wanted it. Ever since it came out here in August.

So, Eidos is going ahead bringing you the game on January 14, 2010. Unfortunately, it's up in the air whether you'll get the cool extras we did, like a replica Batarang and really big packaging. Seems you will be getting the DLC though, according to Andriasang. So yeah, please enjoy this gift from us to you. We'll be watching the sales numbers closely.

(P.S. If you want, you can return the favor by sending over the Final Fantasy XIII edition PS3.)

The problem is, you guys want FFXIII WAY MORE than they want Arkham Asylum.

Do the asians appreciate the lore, history and atmosphere of batman as much as we do? Or do they just prefer fantasy anime with sexual undertones?

But it doesn't. I used Dark Wayne's text and Google translate to discover it only says "I'm Batman."

What you can't really see is that he is sitting on the bat-toilet.

The Japanese language is wonderfully concise.

It's probably like "Batuman" or somthing like that, in katakana. Japan does that with foreign-derived names, they fill in the blanks to fall in line with the syllables they use then write it in katakana, so that people who read it will understand where it comes from. Maybe it's more complex than that, but that's what it seems like.

I don't know much at all about Japanese, but I know that at least.

I used two different translators on Dark Wayne's text. One said "As for me, the bat man who is the air of God." The other translated it as "I feel God's Batman." Neither of them make sense, but it would be cool if Batman actually said it on camera or cartoon.

He says "I'm battoman"... I'm batman. (yes, I'm boring).

If I was a criminal the one thing that would scare me more than seeing Batman would be him screaming "I'm Batman" in Japanese with a Japanese accent.

How can...how can someone speak in Japanese...with a Japanese...accent? If you're a native speaker, how can that which you speak which is quite native to you...be an accent?

I bought batman AA and I've had it for 2 months and have gotten kinda far, it just mostly collects dust. Am I a bad person?

Ever hear Batman speaking in Japanese. I think this is what he's going to sound like in the Japanese dub.

So, Batman becomes Battoman, and the alter ego will be changed from Bruce Wayne to Shotaro Hidari. The game story will also be changed. Mid-game, there will be a bigger force threatening the world (not just the asylum). Battoman and Joker have to team up to save the world using Battoman's latest technology. Both of them will have a belt and USB key activator, and they will yell "Cyclone... Joker..." Both of them are merged and turned into a masked hero, half black and half green, with a finishing move named "Joker Extreme." It will also be revealed that Joker's real name is Philippe.

Oh, Battoman's cape will turn into a scarf... :P
