There's finally a reason to visit the "professional classifications" section of the official website for the upcoming BioWare MMO, Star Wars: The Old Republic. The page for the only class worth playing, the Jedi, has finally been added! The site's got images of Jedi garb and weaponry up, and even a few videos of lightsaber murder.
"But Joystiq, the Jedi isn't the only class worth playing! I want to be a smuggler!" What's that? Sorry, we had a little trouble hearing you while we crushed your windpipe with our minds. Speaking of which, we guess the Sith Warrior is okay, too -- but just barely.

BioWare is a much better steward of the Star Wars franchise. Knights of the Old Republic is a testament to that.

Props to Giroro. Lucas gave into the dark side just before releasing the "Special Editions" of the original trilogy and has now managed to undo one of the greatest surprises in movie history, the revelation that Vader is Anakin.
And no, it wasn't obvious back then, nor was it cliche'. It was great.

When I watched the 'enhanced' editions I nearly vomited. The additions were terrible. And that nice 'digital lean' Solo did was awful.

How about a Sith smuggler? That would be fun.

"Yes they are"
*bzzzt* "No, they're not. Ask again and I'll cut off your other arm"

Game is looking really good i know i'll be rolling a jedi for my main character and first play through, but i know for sure i'll be playing through the main story on a few different characters. Bioware has said that each class playthrough will be like playing a new game with just a couple cross over missions from each class.

I have the hotkeys worked out:
1 - Annoy
2 - Stereotypical African spear thrust
3 - Annoy 2
4 - Canned Ewok/Jawa scream
5 - Annoy 3
6 - Annoyaga
7 - Lghtsaber face shield (use your face to take a Sith blade)
8 - Painful death (for when you get annoyed with your own character)

Joystiq is slipping. One can only crush the windpipe of another if they are familiar with the Dark Side.
A Jedi doesn't have that kind of power.

They all have the ability, Jedi merely choose not to use it.

Luke had no problem doing it to Jabba's guards... but only a little.

Sorry Joystiq, but sith warriors have always been better than jedi!! any battle with a sith requires multiple jedi to defeat them.... on that note I will be playing the troopers cuz they are the closest thing to the awesome republic commandos.

The only example of a Sith taking on two Jedi and doing well is in episode one, and nobody cares about episode one.

Sith Warriors are weak. A Sith Lord would require many Jedi. And they'd still fail.

I'm pretty sure Darth Sidious took on four or five Jedi in Episode 3. Also, Dooku took on Obi-Wan and Anakin in Episode 2.

Sidious and Dooku were very powerful Sith, however. OP is arguing, all things being equal, that a Sith would always beat a Jedi. Obviously a high-level Sith could hold his own against multiple lower-level Jedi, but the OP claims that equal-level Sith and Jedi would result in a Sith victory.

Trooper - Tank
Smuggler - Ranged DPS
Jedi - DPS
The next class will be some sort of droid healer.
