I'm gonna be pretty made if the PS3 version has more anything than the 360 version. I bought the game before everyone started clamoring over it!

Eh I played this already for PC. I think most people played it for either 360 or PC anyway. It was very good but has zero replay value. I still recommend it for those who haven't played it. PS3 is getting it all now by the looks of it, Castle Crashers next. And Demon's Souls.... oh Demon's Souls.

Do you like indie rock too bro? Sucks when a band sells out and becomes successful. It's called the early adopter tax and the practice sometimes applies to games as well. You got to enjoy Braid 15 months or more before I did, so suck it up buttercup.*

*Besides, the article says nothing about it being anything other than a late port, so your ego is safe.

You know it will. it will get some kind of lame "challenge map pack" that they always throw in to accommodate the delay.

Yay. Now PS3 owners can play a sh!tty Mario clone, too!

I never got the appeal of Braid. It's Super Mario World with prettier graphics and the Prince of Persia's time-turning power. Big whoop.

I'd rather just go back and play Mario World, especially since the guy who made Braid comes off as kind of a jerk in everything I've read.

Cool...

but... don't understand why people would wait 15 months to play this game, I mean even if you don't have a 360, it's been on PC for some time..

I don't like playing games on my PC (laptop). I'd rather sit back and play on my large HDTV.

Also, I'm sure the people still bitching about the $15 price that don't have a x360 have been saving up $1/month for this thing......

I've been waiting for the PS3 version because 2D platformers should be played with a D-Pad, and the 360's D-Pad sucks hard. (And, if I'm not mistaken, the PC version only supports the 360 controller.)

@umm....hello??? and ducttapeBigSexy

You guys waited 15 months for Braid to be released on the PlayStation Network?

Hahahahahaha!

"I don't like playing games on my PC"
"2D platformers should be played with a D-Pad, and the 360's D-Pad sucks hard"

Really lame excuses.

I played it on my pc and it is annoying how it will only take a 360 controller. I will be getting this on ps3.

@Rudy-

I never said I was waiting for this game.

I own a x360 and I already bought and completed Braid the week it came out. I find it to be a great game--although it isn't great enough to warrant repurchasing it for my PS3. I can replay it any time on my x360 on a nice large HDTV display.

Actually you can play it on PC with a PS3 controller with a little black magic.

Look up the MotioninJoy drivers to get your Sixaxis or DS3 working in windows (XP or Vista, x86 or x64). After you having working as a joystiq, just use a program like Joystick 2 Mouse (vers. 3.2) to assign keys to the various buttons. You can then have your PS3 controller mimic the original keyboard keys used for the game, so you're playing it on the controller.

I gotta ask - am I the only one who didn't really like this game very much? I mean, the puzzles were pretty unique, and the art was pretty. But the game was extremely short and could be pretty frustrating at times. And I really, really hated the story which was way too pretentious and lecturing, especially when it started drawing parallels to the atom bomb.

I don't know, I guess I just don't get why it's praised so highly.

(awaits inc. downvotes from crazy Braid fans)

well I liked it, but I don't like that it was $10 (on sale) and has no replay value. Ah well, helped out a small developer at least.

Eh, I don't think the story was too pretentious. It was deep, certainly, but the atom bomb theory is only one interpretation (which, frankly, I didn't see the first time through). Personally, I think the atom bomb theory hinted at in the game isn't the real theme, but rather an exemplary instance of the message given throughout the game: the risks of chasing after a fantastic dream.

Deep and pretentious have a fine line between them..... but for a short downloadable puzzle game, I'd probably have to lean more towards the former.

As for me, the art is my main turn off for this title. It just looks so bad to me. I dunno, must just be personal taste, since everyone else seems to think it's great.

I played the demo on Steam and I have to say that I love old 2-D platformers, but I just didn't find Braid to be much fun. The stage where moving forward made time go forward and moving backward made time go backwards was neat, but really annoying and not fun at all.

I bought it on that Steam supersale for like 5 Euro, but I was really glad that I didn't get it for more earlier. I did enjoy the puzzles mostly, but ultimately everything else about the game disappointed me. Especially the whole "deep" story that people loved so much because it makes you think and enlightens you etc. Yeah right. Keep things vague enough, throw in lots of references(including "inspiration" from a popular game), be an indie developer and suddenly it's high art and you are not allowed to dislike it. Or you're a moron who didn't get it.

unless you REEEEEEALLY like doing puzzles over and over again, it's worth a play through. some of the puzzles can get a bit frustrating and when you finally figure them out you just smack yourself in the head and go OHHHH. now, after say that, it was honestly one of the most worth while games i played last year. 10 dollars worthy, not so sure about that, but still, worth it, once.

I played the demo on my Mac, and it seemed terribly hard to jump to the appropriate places. Also, much of the art in the levels was seemingly unattainable. Then again, demos generally seem to suck... is this worth getting? At the very least it would be easier to control on my dualshock than on my keyboard I'd think...
