Free Wallace & Gromit episode and more for 20th anniversary of series

The company is also marking the auspicious occasion by discounting the full season of the PC version to $20 (from $35), releasing the whole set on Xbox Live Arcade, taking orders for a Collector's DVD, and participating in a charity drive with the Wallace & Gromit Children's Foundation and Penny Arcade (to which your full-season purchase will contribute). The discount and free game will only be available until November 8.

US-Only? I dont see anything resembling "free" or "discounted" on Canuck XBL Marketplace.
Aerothorn @ Nov 4th 2009 12:46PM
As the post notes, this applies to PC only. Microsoft doesn't let developers give away XBL stuff for free, even if they want to.

Actually looks like it doesn't work now for Sam & Max Season or Monkey Island...what gives...
Still works for Wallace & Gromit though it's backordered now.

Free is good :D

Is this free only on PC and not on XBLA? I'd love to have it on my XBox.
whylekat @ Nov 4th 2009 9:42AM
Free for XBLA? is that confirmed??
Erron Kelly @ Nov 4th 2009 10:11AM
Free on the PC. Which would be why the story is tagged as 'PC'. Which would also be why the XBLA release is mentioned in a seperate paragraph.

So now I've gotten half of the season for absolutely free. How does Telltale stay in business?
greenpangolin @ Nov 4th 2009 11:20AM
Would I need to play episodes 1 and 2 first to get the general plot, or are all the chapters stand-alone games with their own stories?
Just don't want to start playing episode 3 only to have no idea what's going on...

The dog acts human, the man loves cheese, everyone talks funny.
There. You're all caught up.

Definitely worth picking up the free copy of Muzzled, it's by far the best of the 4. Of course, they should have offered one of the other episodes free, since Muzzled is definitely worth the $8.95, the others... well... not so much.
