I'm sort of surprised that the creator of The Last Express would be involved in a movie that looked this...generic.

Guy needs the money, I guess?

Atrocious trailer.

I guess it was about time for Bruckheimer and Disney to team up and fuck my memories until they turn to sand.

WTF? Who did Jake Gyllanhal study for his "British" accent? His accent sounds dead on Orlando Bloom's british accent. I mean I thought it was Orlando Bloom talking in the trailer. Other than that it doesn't look terrible. for a moment I thought it was Assassin's Creed. Him jumping off that perch with the rope was straight up Assassin's.

"Mechner: Well first, the world with the 1,001 knights inspired the game and the movie."
Shouldn't it be 1,001 NIGHTS, or am I tripping?

I don't really know how i should feel about this movie

It could be a new Pirates of the Carribean (which i enjoyed) or it could be a Uwe Boll-like movie.

not sure i like the rewind animations. they say they add layers but really once you hit the sparkle and shiny back round with a out of body look. it goes from cool to way comedic. i think your better off with the games rewind. which is color shift rollback the tape with a whooshing theme.

i really really hope this movie will be good.

Gyllenhaal looks weird with long hair. He better watch out for jet engines falling from the sky. Of course he could always rewind, but it's a jet engine.

The trailer makes it look okay, but I know it's gonna be a turd.

I guess at least it's not Michael Bay...

Is it me or does Jake look kind of chubby?

It's unfortunate that this will make a ton of money and spur countless sequels.

I'm always leary of movies with beautiful people. They don't need substance...not when the beautiful people are selling the tickets. That and explosions. Beautiful people AND explosions...instant success.

Like in Zoolander...."Concentrate, Derilicte...Don't be distracted by the beautiful celeberties...do what you were trained to do...AND KILL THE MALYAIAN PRIME MINISTER!!!"

Anyways...um...

"Honestly, the way that it has happened with Prince of Persia over the last 20 years, I couldn't have planned. I didn't have a dagger of time to help me."

I love that he said that; brilliant.

If Mechner and Ubisoft return to the Sands of Time characters and story in a new game, I might just have to buy a 360 to play that.

Honestly, the biggest news I read in this and the thing I'm most excited about is the fact they're working on a 4th Pirates movie.
