...and the uncensored arcade version "Oh My God"... Wait that's final fight... another game that deserves a revival... although FF streetwise wasn't great it didn't totally suck either.

Also rumored

- Return of the SF2 bonus games

- A team battle mode that is a 2 vs 2 set, but it can scale up to 4 vs 4.

- A Replay Channel where you can play replays of matches while voice chatting with other players.

- An Endless Battle mode with up to 8 players and voice chat, which sounds a lot like the quarter matches in SSF2T HD Remix.

- Apparently a 'tournament mode' will be delivered as DLC (downloadable content).

Can't believe people are seriously considering rebuying this upgrade of a game that was just recently released. Seriously, they should make a $40 DLC upgrade that you lemmings will swallow up. I'm not talking about those that did not ever purchase SFIV. Capcom is pulling the same sheeet with Resident Evil 5. Fallout 3 is one of the few games to have reasonably priced DLC.

I don't think Fatal Fury had bonus stages did it? Oh yes it did the Home version had some Tire punching game and the Arcade had an Arm wrestling game. I don't think there was any car demolition. I'm Talking Fatal Fury 1 here. Not sure about the others though.

Wow. The last time a Street Fighter game had these mini-games ... I couldn't (legally) drive a car. Ken's axe kick will make short work.

Or maybe they could do some anti-advertising here. Toyota pays Capcom to put a Ford up on the destruction block.

I Missed this Mini-Game in Street Fighter 4, Cause of it i had to go outside and Get My Fix that way. Let me tell you their reaction wasn't " Oh, My Car ! " either it was more of " You * insert profanity here * I'm Gonna Kill You !!! "

Capcom should put a "Cash for Clunkers Disposal Site" sign in the background. They could then re-use the old 1990 Lexus from the original and still remain topically relevant.

While the SF series is my only and favorite fighting series, I still can't help but feel that all this rehashing is just a bit much. Someone needs to dev a fighting game that is a blend of realism and fantasy and take fighting games to a new level. We're in the current "next gen" and all we're getting are do overs. How bout fighters getting hurt, losing use of limbs and such to add to the strategy of the game? Make fatigue a bit of an issue, as well. Blend some of that and some other goodness not really utilized into fighting games, someone, please?

What you're asking for is something Japanese developers will never do in the direction they are going.

As the creator of Megaman said, the Japanese video game industry is over (aside from console making of course). For the most part, many Japanese developers haven't changed any of the core mechanics of their key franchises in a long time. When you look at western developers, they have taken more steps to making games more cinematic, immersive, and appealing to a broader audience. They created regenerating health when they knew that looking for medkits would break the flow, they put in QTE to make cutscenes more interactive, and expanded on gameplay by allowing you to heal your boxer's wounds in between rounds. In comparison, Japanese developers have been sticking more to their niche audiences and trying to appeal to them instead. While it creates a loyal fanbase, it doesn't really invite any new gamers in, and even alienates some of it's older followers, who are sick of how little Japanese games have progressed.

Try playing a JRPG from this current gen, and then go back to some of the older ones, like FFVI or VII. For the most part they all feel exactly the same, with battles mostly following the same forumla, field exploration being limited to the invisible walls they set, and cutscenes that haven't really matured in their writing and execution. Then go from Doom or Duke Nukem to CoD4. Now you have a melee button, the ability to aim down the sights or shoot from the hip, and you can shoot through some walls if they are thin enough.

Although there are some exceptions, such as the milked-out Guitar Hero or Franchise-restructuring RE4, most developers from these regions follow these directions. If you want to see such a realistic "street-fighting" game that doesn't send you flying cause your opponent shoryuken'd your foot, then you better hope that a western developer steps in soon to show these Japanese fighting games what's up.

Yea, I stopped short of saying the whole deal with Japanese devs. I've been saying it for a quite while with their games being the same old stuff it's been since the 80s just with a HD coat of paint and didn't feel like repeating myself. I was sure glad when the Japanese devs finally even acknowledged this, months ago, at a conference.
Also, I stopped short of just putting it on Japanese devs because I feel that it's an industry wide "responsibility" to take fighting games to a new level. Whether their from the UK, US, AU, I don't care. I just want something that is creative, well made and down right fun for me to pick up and feel that it's refreshing.

I was also one of the first to decry this "Super" title because, once again, Capcom is ridiculously stuck in the past. I wouldn't doubt a "Turbo", "Hyper" and/or "Alpha" will eventually come down the pike during this new SFIV "cycle".

At the end of the day, it's a sad thing that not only Japanese devs have seemed to given up on creativity, but we the gamers are losing out on some of greatest games to NOT be created because they just can't "get with it". Eh. At least other parts of the world have come up strong with great games, otherwise, we may have had another industry crash, like back in the day, but this time due to lack of innovation.

How about offering some of this as DLC...I would be happy to pay for that as opposed to, after spending 60 bucks on the game and then getting all the costume packs, asking to spend another 60 or so on an enhanced version

Tweaks alone are worth a new version -- SFIV isn't that good. Just stick with the old one if that doesn't bother you.
