For some reason, Activision is intent on blowing cash on Modern Warfare 2 advertisements, despite record pre-order numbers, and anticipated record-breaking sales. At this point, tossing out slick television commercials – like the one you see above, showing some more fightin' on American soil – just seems like kicking everyone's wallets while they're down. We've already got the game pre-ordered! We can't pre-order it anymore! Uncle!

100ms is verging on unplayable. That is not "great" by any definition, except as a great failure.

I have never played on a server, in my entire life, with a ping higher than 100ms (not intentionally, anyway, and never for very long). Living in Australia, that's a pretty big achievement. The big ISP's here run quality dedicated servers that we can play on (my ISP even lets us book them, for free, for private matches), so often my online gaming doesn't even go outside my ISP's network, giving me the best ping possible - between 6 and 20ms, all day, every day.
That Infinity Ward believes that I should start playing on "servers" run on some kid's netbook and $15/m connection, with a ping of 100ms ON A GOOD DAY, is the most retarded, most arrogant thing I've heard in the games industry since Sony announced the PS3.

IW has all their games running at 60 frames a second. Thaty why they have not run their games at 1080 in the past. It keeps their frame rate up. Bungie does the same thing with Halo.

Captain Price launches an EMP Missile from a submarine and you get to play as that astronaut for like 3 minutes until you see the explosion and die. The campaign on this game was fucking exciting and heart poundingly awesome.
