Battlefield: Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta hits Nov. 19, exclusive to PS3

The beta will focus on one of Bad Company 2's new multiplayer game types: Rush. This multi-stage battle takes place on a map called Arica Harbor, which is broken into unique areas for each round. American forces push forward on foot and in vehicles to scrap with Russian troops outside a military base, in an urban environment and eventually at the harbor itself in a "last stand" scenario.
EA plans to begin a PC round of the beta in December, followed up by an all-new multiplayer demo for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC early next year. The finished game hits shelves on March 2, 2010. We recently had the opportunity to play in the multiplayer beta and will bring you our hands-on impressions tomorrow morning, November 6 at 9:00 a.m. PT / noon ET.

Got into the PS3 beta, i can't wait for this game! The PC beta comes 2nd, that's easier for anyone to get into at least. I'm sure I'll check both betas out to see if PC is better.

lol....BC is good shit and all....but I don't even think that the game being exclusive to PS3 would be Megaton....
whats more is...I'm already hearing the 360 fanboy comments...."They are doing it for the PS3 only because the 360 version is already done as XBL makes if far easier to program for and they need extra time to make the PS3 version right"

It's probably true, though. Xbox Live probably does give developers better networking tools than PSN. Also, there's a beta for the PC because Bad Company 2 will be the first time the Frostbite engine will be running on the PC (or the second time, if Battlefield 1943 ever releases).

Left 4 dead 2, MW2, uncharted 2, Bad Company 2. OMG OVERLOAD OF MULTIPLAYER! I am trying to play as much Uncharted right now to easily let go of it by MW2 release. Cant wait for this beta though

I pre-ordered on Amazon.com after seeing this and will cancel said pre-order after I get the code....I might end up getting the game eventually tho....just when this comes out I will have my hands full with God of War 3 and wont have time for much else

Seeing these kinds of decent multiplatform PS3 benefits lately makes me see a glimmer of hope that the PS3 might start to really be a stronger competitor... I'm still feeling the bitterness of the early years when PS3 owners were punished when it came to multiplatform titles.

Glad the PS3 is getting the extra dev time and effort. Hopefully this will fix the mic issues and make them go away. BC and 1943 both suffered from this, especially 1943... talking to someone for half a match, only to find out later that they can hear you but you can't hear them.. and vice-versa.
Day 1 purchase.

I was liking the demo up until I had to try to kill an enemy.

It's only as many bullets as it took in PS2/PS1 gen shooters, realism doesn't equal fun. Neither way is better.

From the videos I've seen, the netcode seems to have been improved dramatically. If you are talking about single-player, then you have a point.

Damn too bad that I'll have MW2 by then, if not then I might have cared.
Looks like a great game though, and EA is doing a great job lately of gaining the trust of many ps3 gamings back again.
I might start buying their products with joy again lol!
