Dark Void dev diary focuses on that guy in front of the jetpack
The above video diary also shows us how Nikola Tesla ended up in the game. Tesla is just one cool dude, whether he's being played by David Bowie, building super awesome defense towers for the Russians, or -- in the case of Dark Void -- spearheading an entire rebellion by inventing jetpacks and gigantic airships.

wow, must be a really serious game if they have to sit in the dark to talk about it...

Yeah and that one guy put a tie nearly on.

They do this in most dev commentaries.

I don't get why people have to bicker about most things posted here.
The game looked very interesting and i'd love to play it for the Tesla factor and see how it plays out.

It looked really stiff in cut scenes but the in-game stuff looks incredible!
Is it just me, and maybe I'm a little late to the party here, or did Will sound a lot like Nathan Drake from Uncharted? Is Nolan North doing the voicework for Will?!

agreed. I think the character models and animation could look better but if the gameplay is solid and the story is intriguing then I'll pick this up.

I'm not a big fan of capcom games but this looks quite good.

This game better come with a "Just Fly Around with your Jetpack" mode because that's pretty much all I want to do. The whole game looks pretty good but I just want to fly around.

This is shaping up quite nicely. The characters seem very good. Heck, any main character voiced by Nolan North is pretty much win. The story looks very interesting and the gameplay seems to be tight. Also, it's from the devs of Crimson Skies for the Xbox. Count me in.

The gameplay looks as stiff as Lost Planet... and how you fight the bosses, it looks like a mix of Lost Planet (Capcom) and Shadow of the Colossus (Sony)

Is it me or does this look too similar to The Rocketeer... (

The jetpack, the jacket, a little of the helmet, even the relationship with the "gf"
I also just saw one of the monsters that looks identical to a monster in star trek...

You're right. Every single thing was copied. All of it.

I really like the points they make about characters, and the general difference between characters in American and Japanese games. I find that to be incredibly true, and I really like that a Western developer is acknowledging it and trying to do something about it. It looks as if they may be taking the story a tad too seriously, but still, I can appreciate what they're trying to do. I had initially written this game off as another boring shooter, but I'll have to keep an eye on it - it looks like it MIGHT have potential. When Western and Japanese developers put their heads together to make a game, the result is rarely disappointing. (c.f. Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness - although I guess those were both Nintendo, not just any Japanese developer, and Capcom apparently flopped earlier this year with Bionic Commando. Well, still.)
Can't say much about the gameplay, but the graphics and animation look a bit underwhelming for an HD title.
