Latest Split/Second trailer blows up buildings, gigantic boats
All of that (and more) happens in the very brief glimpse of gameplay above. Enjoy!

Does this game have a story or something? Like what's going on that's making all this shit explode?
MrAlex @ Nov 5th 2009 7:16PM
I believe it's all part of some crazy TV show in the game.
james @ Nov 5th 2009 8:49PM
don't question it, just accept it.
Hashbrown Hunter (OneGiantCluster.blogspot.com) @ Nov 6th 2009 2:48AM
God and/or Chuck Norris.
TheCoats @ Nov 6th 2009 10:22AM
The ring under the car fills up and then you can activate different "world destructions" depending on how much power up juice you have.
I don't think there is a developing story. I would probably compare this to stage rollcage meets Need for Speed.
AoE @ Nov 6th 2009 4:18PM
Awesome is making it explode... pure awesome.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 5th 2009 6:34PM
So it's like Burnout Paradise with the world destruction of Bad Company/Crysis?

Yesssss masters...

Sooper sorry didn't see Toop's comment 2 below...

I feel like punching myself in the groin each time I forget this game exists.
Hopefully the marketing gets a push before it launches. It seems like the perfect substitute for someone who has played Burnout Paradise to death.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 5th 2009 6:37PM
Just punching? Or Falcon Punching?
Danthok @ Nov 6th 2009 7:51AM
You can only Falcon Punch your groin once ...
Toop @ Nov 5th 2009 7:03PM
PREORDER NOW.
I've never felt the need to preorder a game, and some developers are pushing preorders way too hard these days.
TVGenius @ Nov 5th 2009 7:30PM
Other than committing you to buying the game before you find out how (potentially) crappy it really is, is there any advantage to the publisher for you to pre-order?
Daniel @ Nov 5th 2009 7:23PM
made up cars = i don't care about this game
Kodros @ Nov 5th 2009 7:35PM
That's a very dumb reason to not like a game.
Daniel @ Nov 5th 2009 7:42PM
for someone who prefers driving real cars from real manufacturers in video games, it is not a very dumb reason.
JerJer @ Nov 5th 2009 8:40PM
a smarter reason to not get this is that the re playability of seeing the same plane explode everytime you play "that plane level" is probably pretty low....
here's to hoping it's not!!
TreND @ Nov 5th 2009 8:45PM
yeah.. because this is clearly the real driving simulator..
---------------------
if instead of cars they decided to put boats in this game he wouldn't be saying that..
NOOK @ Nov 5th 2009 8:48PM
I would normally take Daniel's position here but I'd be really happy playing Split/Second instead of that Blur crap, even though that one has licensed cars.
Didn't touch any of the Burnout titles though.
prodigy69 @ Nov 6th 2009 9:53AM
If you want a real driving experience..buy a real car.
TreND @ Nov 5th 2009 7:25PM
hahaha .. that was great..
Darkwun @ Nov 5th 2009 7:26PM
As long as the handling is on point this should be a big one, i'll take the guys advice and PREORDER NOW!!!
Asmerom (PSN: neon6plz) (XBL: reo6) (Waiting for NMH2) @ Nov 5th 2009 7:40PM
Looks mighty impressive.
cows84ever @ Nov 5th 2009 7:56PM
Big booms make me happys.
LASSIE @ Nov 5th 2009 8:06PM
I played this at E3 and it was a blast. Obviously arcadey but you can activate environmental interactions to benefit you or to the detriment of your opponents. They escalate as well, so if you build up your meter to the minimum, you can only do small things like make a helicopter drop a box onto an enemy. Build it up more and you can drop a bridge or open a door for a shortcut. Build it all the way and you can bring a whole traffic control tower down onto the track or even crash land a jumbo jet. That last one is pretty badass. You see it coming straight at you and you start to sweat a little.
All this is commone knowledge and there are gameplay vids out there but just wanted to re-iterate the awesome funtacular-ness of this game.
prodigy69 @ Nov 6th 2009 9:54AM
sounds like a blast :D
yojimb0 @ Nov 5th 2009 8:38PM
More footage... Yeah, this was awesome at e3... I think it'd be better if it also included burnout-style boost, so you'd have to decide between explosions or just straight boosting.
trunks @ Nov 6th 2009 2:38AM
I am not a racing game fan but ever since I saw the first trailer of it I just can't wait to get my hands on it
Galley @ Nov 6th 2009 8:22AM
Rollcage did it better.

prodigy69 @ Nov 6th 2009 9:56AM
oh I'd forgotten about this game, I'll wait till the reviews to see if I'll buy it though
general @ Nov 6th 2009 10:48AM
Is it me or have I seen the same footage of this game nearly a dozen times, just remixed with different claims? Burnout FTW.
