Possible free Lego Rock Band with $20 Old Navy purchase on Black Friday

According to the ad, the retailer will be offering free "Lego Rock Band video games" with purchases of $20 or greater on Friday, November 27. "Your preferred platform may not be available," the ad warns, presumably due to limited overall supply. We're wary that it could be a demo or something like that, but the fact that Old Navy will also be selling Rock Band 2 bundles, and giving away guitar controllers with said bundles, makes this doorbuster deal seem more likely. But it's still crazy to hand out a $50 video game with $20 worth of clothes.
If you want to check it out for yourself, Old Navy stores will be open at 3AM that day. Have fun!

I had no interest, but I'd take it for 20 bucks and a useless shirt that will fray and deteriorate and become a rag in my garage after one wash.
Scott @ Nov 5th 2009 10:12AM
Your washing machine must suck.
NintendoJunkie @ Nov 5th 2009 10:51AM
No Scott he's actually refer to the clothing @ old navy that somehow seems to magically fall apart after a certain period of time. It's kinda like Cinderella when the clock strikes midnight.
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Nov 5th 2009 10:40AM
No, the quality of Old Navy clothing must suck. I'm in complete agreement.
frzamonkey @ Nov 5th 2009 10:53AM
wanna mail it to one of us who like the rhythm game genre?
johnny @ Nov 5th 2009 11:47AM
its true my gf used to shop there and she got holes in the ass of her jeans and shirts too lol.. the fabric is thin as paper
MystileArmor @ Nov 5th 2009 12:09PM
"she got holes in the ass of her jeans"
Every girl should shop there.. well, not every girl..
...only the sexy ones.
Fane [Grammar Police - Power Of Pedantry] @ Nov 6th 2009 4:44PM
Pix or it didn't happen. ;)
kevin @ Nov 5th 2009 9:44AM
No reason to be skeptical; that ad has been on every credibly Black Friday site for a little while now.
Now...skeptical about your chances of actually getting there early enough to get a copy for your system of choice? Yeah, that sounds more reasonable.
dark_inchworm (stronger than never, ever before) @ Nov 5th 2009 9:45AM
Dude, I need some new pants anyway. Old Navy jeans are quite cozy.
I would totally do this.
fundando @ Nov 5th 2009 2:35PM
If this is true I am there.
Me @ Nov 5th 2009 9:45AM
It's deals like these that get people killed.

WiNG [XBL&Steam: WiNGSPANTT] from lifeinagame.com @ Nov 5th 2009 9:46AM
Wow that is a hell of a deal.
vidGuy @ Nov 5th 2009 9:53AM
Ah, Black Friday. A day when I survive only on a stomach full of turkey and coffee, use the buddy system so I can use the bathroom, and spend way too much on myself when Christmas is so close.
I might have to make my fiancee grab this one up. ON is best avoided.
GewurztraminerX @ Nov 5th 2009 9:56AM
I once went out to get a PlayStation memory card from a Toy'R'Us....... and at the time was not yet old enough to realize what Black Friday was. Never again.
Also, I planned ahead and got LEGO Rock Band for $25 from one of the numerous other deals that have been going on in the last few months.
$5 is a small price to pay for my safety and sanity.
jake18oly @ Nov 5th 2009 10:53PM
Where might I ask where you able to pick it up for $25? I would love to skip the Black Friday rush and score myself a copy as well!

you guys talking black friday ads??
have you seen the KMart ad?
Assassins Creed 2 for FREE with purchase of the PSP Assassins Creed Bundle...
http://downloads.bfads.net/BFAds-Kmart-2009.pdf
NintendoJunkie @ Nov 5th 2009 10:51AM
Yeah I saw that...that's NUTS! Also one of the deals is 5 games bundled when you buy a DSi @ kmart. However it's probably all imaginez babyz or some crap like that. HOWEVER even if you buy a DS Lite you also get a "$25 Nintendo gaming coupon"...w/e that means.
spikeylee @ Nov 5th 2009 10:00AM
i'd rather pay the extra $40 for the game to not get stuck with $20 worth of crappy clothes and avoid the whole garbage-filled sticky floors, stepped-on feet, and crazed people in search of a deal on Black Friday at Old Navy.
GewurztraminerX @ Nov 5th 2009 10:31AM
Technically it'd be an extra $30. But yes.
Reuben @ Nov 5th 2009 10:00AM
I made the mistake of driving out to Target last year on Black Friday because I heard that they were selling Dead Space for half off. Little did I know that a mile or two from me a poor temp worker had been trampled to death.
Never again. People are animals for deals.
Samuel Vimes @ Nov 5th 2009 10:32AM
It's horrible isn't it!? Just waiting for the headlines: "Old Navy employee trampled by crazies trying to get lego rock band with the purchase of new pants".
Kind of sad how people go to such lengths of fighting tooth and bone to save a few bucks. Black Friday is evil, unless you're ordering online.
the Sawyer family @ Nov 5th 2009 1:40PM
this will be the blackest of black fridays

HOLY CRAP! Those deals are awesome. So I assume this is for the game ONLY (ie: NO GUITAR) unless you buy the game there & get the guitar free.
I was holding out on rockband for wii (only system I have right now until I get a PS3 in feb. or so), but since I love Lego's (who doesn't?), I might have to snag this one up.
I'm not sure yet however if I'll be here in North Carolina for Thanksgiving or Maryland. Either Old Navy deal is pretty good. The get the game free deal is obviously better however.
Petebot330 @ Nov 5th 2009 10:30AM
I will be spending Black Friday playing video games.
Granger @ Nov 5th 2009 10:41AM
You still have to go to Old Navy. Don't forget to stop at Pier 1 Imports, The Gap, and Abercrombie & Fitch on your way home... You'll have completed a round-trip to hell and back, congrats.
GewurztraminerX @ Nov 5th 2009 10:59AM
Pier 1's alright.... for about 15 minutes; 20 tops.
Samuel Vimes @ Nov 5th 2009 11:05AM
Pier 1 rocks for Papasan chairs!
Michael T [Planeteer | Power of Mr. T] @ Nov 5th 2009 12:08PM
Too bad papasan chairs don't count as real furniture.
Warlock @ Nov 5th 2009 11:21AM
Does that thing really say "Open Friday at 3am"? These Black Friday Deals are getting earlier and earlier!
garnsr @ Nov 5th 2009 11:24AM
I'd be willing to send my girlfriend to get one for me. No way I'm going to the mall then.
Deezul @ Nov 5th 2009 11:32AM
Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge, VA opens at midnight.
Deezul @ Nov 5th 2009 11:33AM
Should have been a reply to @Warlock
dabamf @ Nov 5th 2009 11:37AM
Go to store, buy $20 something, get video game for free, return $20 something.
johnny @ Nov 5th 2009 12:10PM
if you do that they send a retarded giant man from the back room to jump the counter and rape you in the middle of the store. its true i swear.
Kamaka @ Nov 5th 2009 12:45PM
I dont live in the states but no way in hell would I be going out on black friday. Rather just shop for whatever deals are available online. Least I know i'll be alive afterwards to enjoy whatever I bought.
SaNcTuS @ Nov 5th 2009 12:48PM
mmm, might as well stop by my old navy and get myself a few polos and some tshirts AND get a free game I intended on buying anyway. :) sounds decent.
ScottG13 @ Nov 5th 2009 1:12PM
I'd suspect like a 5-10 demo type product.
Luke @ Nov 5th 2009 6:42PM
Yeah that's what I thought too. It says *A* Lego Rock Band video game, not *the* Lego Rock Band video game. I bet it's a demo/sampler of some sort.
Joshua Azevedo @ Nov 5th 2009 6:20PM
is this deal only avalible in america?
Kelly @ Nov 22nd 2009 6:45PM
Returning the merchandise you purchase would mean having to return the game as well. Stores that do these GWPs (gift with purchase) usually require that the gift be returned.
My boyfriend works at ON and he said he saw ten copies per system of LEGO Rock Band in the safe tonight, so if anyone here reallllly wants a copy for their $20 purchase, they'll have to be one of the dozens who line up hours before the store opens. Not worth it!
