We know many Joystiq readers don't want to read spoilers on the site. That's why, for your sake, we've carefully posted the intro movie to New Super Mario Bros. Wii after the break. The upcoming 2D platformer returns the series to its roots, but adds a number of features that make it "new" -- it says so on the box. New power-ups and the addition of multiplayer radically change the feel of NSMBW, but we're not sure if gamers are prepared for the revolutionary new story featured in this latest adventure.

The new scripts must be in another castle.

Looking forward to this though, something to play with the misses.

It would be even more incredible if there was a plot twist near the end, that when you finally defeated everyone, and she was in another castle.

The storyline is wicked boss, i think it should win some sort of award

I just wish Joystiq hadn't spoiled it with only a few spoiler tags guarding it. Now I don't even feel like playing the game.

Daisy was just as kidnapped as Peach in her only traditional Mario game appearance.

It turns out that Peach was Dr Wiley all along.

Yeah, I'm so glad they're back! But... why is Bowser a baby now... and still has kids? What's the deal with Baby Bowser anyway?

At this point I think I might kidnap the princess... She is super easy to kidnap! Me and a few of my friends would just throw a big cake on her and then bam! We're gone! I'm not too scared of Mario and it's not like Bowser is ever worse for the wear.

Lol come on, everyone knows Nintendo games don't have plots (or modern graphics, or good sound effects, or online play, or DLC)... They are fun though, amiright?

I still find it annoying they made the other two main characters mushroom dudes... woulda been better if say... wario and waluigi crashed the party and ended up forced to help the mario bros out or something.....or maybe more realisticly wario just wanted that cake really bad so they team up to get peach and the cake....

I agree. For being a big release for them and a 4 player, classic Mario title, you would've thought they'd put in some familiar faces.

Also, though you can only play with 4 characters in the game, why make the character selection limited to that number. They should have put in a bunch of extra characters from the Mario universe to choose from.
