The 1970 Ford Mustang "Trans-Cammer" you see above will soon be getting the digital treatment in Gran Turismo 5 after taking home this year's Gran Turismo Award honor at SEMA. For the seventh year in a row, a handful of judges (including Gran Turismo 5 lead Kazunori Yamauchi) chose a car from the auto event for inclusion in an upcoming Gran Turismo title.
Yamauchi said of the event, "We have been very pleased with the high quality of vehicles vying for the award the past seven years, and look forward to having this 1970 Ford Mustang 'Trans-Cammer' join our list of distinguished past winners as part of the Gran Turismo franchise." The 1970 Ford Mustang "Trans-Cammer" by Philip Koenen follows Marcel Horn's HPA Audi TT in 2007 and Brian Filoteo's high-performance Infiniti G37 in 2008, both seen below in the gallery.

haha Forza Who. yea i agree... i can't believe some people are saying Forza may be better then GT5 and giving it a run for it's own Money.
I didn't care for Forza at all. i can see the reviews now the game will score 8.5 to 9's most times and the users will ay NOOO THESE SCORES are HORRIBLE .. but i would believe them ... i have a feeling Gamespot ETC will come out saying Great game but will reccommend Forza over words. i'm not being a fanboy but i just didn't care for Forza.
Gran Turismo FTW !

why was this downvoted? This car is kick-ass and everything, but nothing beats Ol' Rigby.

That car is freaking gorgeous. I hope they include some older Trans-Ams.
Noob question: I own a PS3 and 360. I own the 360 Racing Wheel and I want to get a wheel for my PS3 for when GT5 comes out. What recommendations do you guys have for me on what to buy? I'm looking for top of the line here.

That's not a noobish question. A racing wheel is a pretty serious investment.
There may be an Official GT5 wheel that Yamuchi endorses, but just look at reviews of wheels on Amazon. Logitech is generally a good choice.

@Durden
Guys he said top of the line. I have a logitech racing wheel and they are good but not top of the line.
If top of the line is what you want go to Fanatec and get one of the official Porsche wheels ... or any Fanatec wheel for that matter.

Well, honestly, I meant to reply to the first post....but my post became just that, a standard post. There is no way to delete a post once posted. So, I went ahead with my original idea, to reply to the first post, figuring my original post would get buried anyways.
Is that a good enough explanation?

Good call! Fixed. Also, f you to Nissan for naming its luxury brand "Infiniti" with a stupid i at the end instead of a y (like, ya know, the dictionary). Furthermore, why even bother with an Infiniti G37 when the Nissan Skyline exists? I JUST DON'T KNOW.

A fine selection Kaz. I would love for a demo to include the past SEMA winners.

...so does this mean it is pushed back another 6 months? GT5 is like groundhog day. If Kazunori sees another cool car, it's 6 more months of waiting (for them to model it).
While the car is awesome, I just hope they either trimmed down the time from car to model, or they decide to add it in as DLC after the game comes out. Otherwise if it still takes 6 months to put a new car into the game, then that means no GT5 for a while longer.
