Need for Speed: Burnout? I'm not much of a racing fun but I don't think Criterion should work on another franchise. It makes me think that quality will simply stay in one place with innovation being a bit too subtle or unchanged. Also, because I'm more of a shooting fan, I would much rather hear news that Criterion is hard at work with Black 2.

GT5 for my sim racing, and a Criterion NFS for my arcade racing.

Perfect.

Ok so i like the idea of switching to a better developer but can we go back ot the street racing style? We dont need another Forza, Project Gotham, Gran Turismo clone. The best NFS was Most Wanted. Now why EA cant figure that out and return us to that style i cant understand. The cop chases, the intense racing on city and suburb streets, climbing up the black list. Thats what made that game so damn good.

I really don't care if they call it Need For Speed or Burnout. Criterion knows how to race and that's the important bit really.

Best NFS game was Most Wanted? Personally I disagree, Underground 2 remains the top racing game in my opinion. *NOTE: I don't play simulation racing games*

I am certain that this game will be sandbox style which is perfect. Can do what ever you want on a fly, spend all your time driving a car instead of scrolling through menus just to drive, I have no idea why sandbox isn't preferred.

Whenever this NFS comes out, that will be the true reboot, in my opinion.

Maybe NFS should keep two different kinds of games, Simulation with NFS Shift, and something over the top, balls to the wall with Criterion.

Nice pick. This is definitely intriguing. Nice way to see Criterion use what they have built so well for years on a franchise other than Burnout.

On a different note, what was your last favorite NFS game? For me the series started going downhill after Most Wanted.

ooo maybe Criterion will make a NFS game that will actually be enjoyable.

You know why they call it Need For Speed?
cause after playing it you'll have a need for speed!

i don't think in the history of video games has their ever been a game name so completely opposite to the actual game than the NFS series.
