ESRB: Uncharted, PAIN and more become Pinball Heroes on PSP
This probably wasn't what fans had in mind when they demanded an Uncharted game for Sony's handheld. A series of new ESRB ratings reveals a new pinball franchise, most likely under the PSP Minis label, based on various first-party PlayStation properties. Pinball Heroes: Uncharted is the most noteworthy of the bunch which according to the ESRB descriptor, is based on Drake's Fortune. "Players use flippers to hit the ball around a crashed airplane, into silhouetted character targets, and off bumpers shaped like gold coins to score points."
In addition to Uncharted, other franchises will be getting the pinball treatment, including High Velocity Bowling, PAIN and Hot Shots Golf. Wait, no Pinball Heroes: God of War? That's a missed opportunity!
Unfortunately, no further details of the Pinball Heroes franchise can be garnered from the ESRB listings. We're submitting a few questions to Sony (like "how much?" and "why?") and will update when we hear back.

milking you might say?
Orchard Pear @ Nov 9th 2009 5:14PM
Maybe they took a Milking class from Microsoft.
The masters.
Aaroniero Arruruerie @ Nov 9th 2009 5:17PM
you mean Nintendo
adolson @ Nov 9th 2009 5:18PM
At least they didn't learn from Activision - they milk like Tom Green.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3EVDNzXiqyA if you don't know what I'm talking about.
abelpc @ Nov 9th 2009 5:30PM
Square Enix is the master of Milking.. HANDS DOWN.
GiggMan @ Nov 9th 2009 6:18PM
I would love to meet the person who came up with the term "Milking".
First I would tell him to never mention such terms on the Internet because they get picked up by annoying people and ran in the ground..... Then I would probably choke him.... and have an ice cold glass of, well you get the picture.
calgaryalta @ Nov 9th 2009 7:31PM
@ GiggMan
I'm sure the term "milking" as in "extracting all you can from something", is probably older than the internet.
That being said, don't you think it's appropriate here?
alioua83 @ Nov 9th 2009 5:09PM
I would ask them "WHY?" first then " how much?"
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 5:11PM
Clearly, the PSP can't handle the half-tuck.
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 5:24PM
You mean 1/4 tuck.
Sly @ Nov 9th 2009 6:55PM
it's actually 3/4. not 1/4. 1/4 tuck is for weak people.
Space @ Nov 9th 2009 5:12PM
good, no need for naughty dog to work on a PSP title. and no need for anyone other than naughty dog to do a uncharted title.
Viking @ Nov 9th 2009 5:22PM
I am happy it's just Pinball.
Uncharted doesn't need a PSP version right now. If they give it away to any other than Ready At Dawn, I can't see anyone handle the quality standard it requires for the 3/4 tuck. And I don't want Naughty Dog to work with PSP, seeing what they can do with the PS3.
Also: Jak 4 damn it!
Ryan @ Nov 9th 2009 5:24PM
My god whats wrong with you guys? "Pfff, milking you say?".
This sounds really awesome, nice little bite sized pinball game for my PSP themed as Sony games, that sounds really sweet, looking forward to it.
Now if you want milking, then I would say... Activision..
Space @ Nov 9th 2009 5:28PM
Actually on dictionary.com it shows pictures of mario, link and samus as examples of milking
charlie b. @ Nov 9th 2009 5:41PM
@Space
of course Link is a milker.
haven't you ever been to Lon Lon Ranch?
Ryan @ Nov 9th 2009 5:41PM
Yeah but i'm more so talking about the serious milking, I'm talking Guitar Hero's left and right, there was about 6 Hero games this year.
Atleast Nintendo or Sony take an ease to it, and put out good games.
Hunnter @ Nov 9th 2009 6:34PM
@Space
Really?
here i was hoping for some o' them teats.
Sly @ Nov 9th 2009 6:14PM
samus? seriously? SERIOUSLY? i can easily understand mario, and kinda understand link, but SAMUS?
Space @ Nov 9th 2009 7:36PM
They're just easy targets. I know there's been a ton of ratchet and clanks, halos, snakes and resident evils, but nintendo just won't let go of that..."triforce" of characters. It'd be nice if zelda made a 15 year hiatus. They're almost 25 years old now...move on for a little bit...
Sly @ Nov 9th 2009 8:05PM
15 year hiatus?! 5 years would work much better. in the mean time, they could begin work on a GOOD star fox.
Silicon Siren @ Nov 9th 2009 5:35PM
Give me a PSP-4000 with dual analoge sticks and a copy of Uncharted PSP and I'm sold.
Marco le Polo @ Nov 9th 2009 6:11PM
That's a lot to ask for.
Btw Is that Armitage?
Silicon Siren @ Nov 9th 2009 6:15PM
I'm not asking for anything more than any other handheld gamer has been asking for in the dual analoge setup, it is a much needed upgrade. As for Uncharted PSP it would just be nice.
Yes my avatar is of Naomi Armitage of the early 90s anime Armitage III.
Sly @ Nov 9th 2009 6:15PM
i'd prefer a PSP2 with touchscreen, dual analogs, and improved battery life. and sly cooper PSP and uncharted PSP announced for it as launch games. that would MAKE my day.
AerialAngel87 @ Nov 9th 2009 6:37PM
Please cost 4$ .-.
Spartan [Planeteer | Power of Sunshine & Lollipops] @ Nov 9th 2009 6:58PM
3.99?
Eh @ Nov 9th 2009 6:41PM
Why dont you just learn how to play real pinball? Losers.
Silicon Siren @ Nov 9th 2009 7:36PM
Because the only places that still have pinball machines are places you get shot or robbed at.
S. Tiger @ Nov 9th 2009 8:08PM
Why don't you just learn to play real games? Like, at an arcade.
Oh wait, what does America not have many of any more?
God damn, do some research before being a little bitch.
S. Tiger @ Nov 9th 2009 8:05PM
Pinball: Shadow of the Colossus
I can see that happening, and it being like Metroid Prime Pinball sort of.
And it would be HILARIOUS.
den-69 @ Nov 9th 2009 9:05PM
I'd love an actual Uncharted game on the PSP.
But it should probably only be done if they add trophy support to the PSP.
I don't really like play single player games on my PSP when I'm on the go, so that leaves me playing it in the house when I might as well be playing my console, so trophy support would be an added incentive to play my PSP in the house.
Would have to be done by naughty dog though... But then that takes them away from a PS3 sequel...
Good dilemma to be in mind you lol.
JeezWhiz87 @ Nov 10th 2009 5:51AM
Missed opportunity here, could've been Pinball Wizard.
Abi @ Nov 10th 2009 3:35PM
A ridiculous spin-off already? For shame!!!
