Wonder how Raging Blast is.
Filthy Assistant @ Nov 9th 2009 1:41PM
Demo was pretty good once I learned the controls. I'm def picking it up this week.
Faceman @ Nov 9th 2009 3:43PM
It's wack. Tenkaiachi 3 for PS2 is the ultimate DBZ game.
Filthy Assistant @ Nov 9th 2009 4:41PM
That's a funny way to spell Budokai
Ashitaka @ Nov 9th 2009 5:23PM
DB games are getting even worse than Guitar Hero. ffs, at least improve the graphics and the rooster of fighters.
Ghost_Crisis @ Nov 9th 2009 6:04PM
I've had it since friday (With an early adopters fee of $60 no less), and I like it. I'm a raging Dragonball Fan, but I know a bad game when I see it, and its fairly deep compared to say, BT3. Seems like some mechanics were cut at first, but theres a nice fighting system lying just under the surface.
the_pop @ Nov 9th 2009 7:28PM
"the ultimate DBZ game"
i lol'd.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 1:32PM
Pretty slow for PC guys this week.
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 1:36PM
Pretty slow for PC guys every week.
(Saying this as both a PC / PS3 fan)
At least we have L4D2 next week.
sinergy @ Nov 9th 2009 1:36PM
Yeah considering the boycott against the PC version of mw2, right? :p heh.
Filthy Assistant @ Nov 9th 2009 1:41PM
Don't you want the ULTIMATE collection of a game that was never good to begin with?
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 1:42PM
MW2 isn't important enough to have it's own boycott. Neither is L4D2.
You want to boycott something do it for a good reason. Boycotting a video game is one of the saddest things you can possibly do.
sinergy @ Nov 9th 2009 2:20PM
Wait, there's an actual MW2 boycott? ruffle! That might be a "sad" thing but figuring out how to spend my hard earned money is pretty important...and IW isn't getting it :/
Anyway, it may be quiet on the PC front this week, but DAO is keeping me pretty busy :D
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 3:13PM
No. Refusing to buy Modern Warfare 2 because you do not want what they are offering is NOT a boycott. A boycott is refusing to purchase Coca-Cola products or shop at Wal-Mart because you believe that they are treating their workers unfairly. I'm not going to get into this argument, but I am just using those as common examples.
Avoiding purchasing MW2 is simply a decision, not a boycott.
I hate how that word is being thrown around everywhere. It's pathetic. People act like they are 'shifting the industry' just by bitching.
WiredKnight: Keeper of Threads @ Nov 9th 2009 3:21PM
What?
Explain to me how not buying Coca-Cola products is a boycott, but not buying Activision products is not.
Space @ Nov 9th 2009 3:54PM
I think to boycott something you actually have to persuade other people from buying it too. Like when the Philly police boycott the rage concert, off-duty officers actually stood out front of the venue.
complaining on the internet is not boycotting, or maybe it's just the laziest form of boycotting....
Eh @ Nov 9th 2009 3:59PM
You cant boycott something you were never going to buy in the first place.
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 4:23PM
Most people taking part of this MW2 Boycott don't care about Activision, they are simply targeting the one game and refusing to purchase it.
Those who refuse to purchase Activision games are not the same.
Sly @ Nov 9th 2009 5:41PM
@Wired
what he's saying is that if you choose not to buy any of their products because you think they're bad, that's a boycott and if you just decide not to buy a certain product because you're not interested, it's just a simple decision, and not a boycott.
not that hard to figure out.
Levi @ Nov 9th 2009 10:03PM
"To abstain from or act together in abstaining from using, buying, or dealing with as an expression of protest or disfavor or as a means of coercion."
"To abstain from ... buying ... [MWF2] ... as an expression of protest..."
Pretty sure not buying a game because you're pissed that they cut features or whatever is technically boycotting. You don't HAVE to coerce other people. As long as you are actively avoiding the product as a means of protest, it is technically boycotting it.
My comment has nothing to do with how cool or uncool the act of boycotting a game is. I just wanted to clear that up for everyone fighting over the definition. I find myself in the middle of these lingual arguments often.
Dale @ Nov 10th 2009 4:06PM
Can't talk, fappin' over Dragon Age: Origins. /PC
JXCgunrunna @ Nov 9th 2009 1:34PM
Aww... this sums up the rest of my year actually. And much of next year. Sprinkle some AC2 and BB:BC2 in there and ill be set for a long time.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 1:51PM
And he's right. I went to the Halo 3 midnight launch...I swear, I wanted to kill several of the people there.
"WOOHOO ONLY AN HOUR LEFT! WE'RE SO AWESOME!"
Nearly got us all kicked out. Then I would have been pissed.
Now, I just preorder from Amazon and get RDS.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 1:51PM
Arg, reply fail.
PedoJokerBear [Planeteer | Power of Gall Bladder] @ Nov 12th 2009 8:12AM
I hate the term "act black" wtf is that supposed to imply?
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 9th 2009 1:37PM
Going to the midnight launch later tonight, hopefully there won't be too many frat boy douchebags there.
At least wii owners aren't entirely left out of the fun. They get....the old game, that looks much worse than the original. Well, at least it's something right?
David @ Nov 9th 2009 1:42PM
wow, every single comment i see from you is you complaining about "frat boys." i'm pretty far from a frat boy, but even i can see that it's extremely juvenile how you let your stereotypes of others determine how you enjoy things.
if you're in high school.....ok, fine, you'll probably become more mature eventually.
if you're past high school........yikes.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 1:43PM
But stereotyping people is fun!
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 9th 2009 1:45PM
Uhh where else do you think most of COD's sales come from David?
It's not going to affect my enjoyment of the game, just my enjoyment of standing in line waiting for it. I only hope there won't be any local news people there, cause there will be douches doing burnouts in the parking lot and acting like wiggers going from past experiences.
Shagittarius @ Nov 9th 2009 1:47PM
STFU NERDS!
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 1:52PM
CHAAAAAAAANGE?
josh @ Nov 9th 2009 1:53PM
It's ironic that you call those people douches but in the same breath use the term 'wiggers', and condemn them for acting as such.
The term wigger implies that it's negative for a white person to "act black" (quotes used intentionally), and I generally think that people who use that term regularly are pretty douchey.
Zoot Suit Jedi @ Nov 9th 2009 1:53PM
nerds?
nerds?!
NERDS!!!!!!
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 9th 2009 1:57PM
"The term wigger implies that it's negative for a white person to "act black"
....it is, because we're not, and we shouldn't act like someone or something we're not. No one's impressed by a white guy from the suburbs pretending he's from compton.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 1:57PM
@Josh
That sounds like a load of horsecrap to me. I would take it to be related to 'wigging out', not the other term.
STFU, PCMan!
The Dark Wayne [Planeteer: Power of the Batusi] @ Nov 9th 2009 1:58PM
What a strange thing to say David, if tmac went to the midnight launch, and there were in fact stereotypical frat boy douche bags, would it be juvenile for him to be annoyed by them?
SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 9th 2009 2:03PM
You people know that tmac wants you to downvote him, right?
No matter how absolutely f*cking stupid his comments may be, the fact that you downvote him only helps his ep3n0r grow.
Then later he will just say "nah son, they just downvote me kus i speak teh trufe!".
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 9th 2009 2:05PM
Unlike you spyder, I don't care about upvotes or downvotes or who likes me on here. I'm much bigger than that.
Cody @ Nov 9th 2009 2:10PM
"....it is, because we're not, and we shouldn't act like someone or something we're not. No one's impressed by a white guy from the suburbs pretending he's from compton."
How do you act a skin color?
btw, @ David,
tmac has also referred to me as a wigger, because I produce and record hip-hop and r&b music. I cannot make this stuff up.
Cody @ Nov 9th 2009 2:12PM
"I don't care about upvotes or downvotes or who likes me on here. I'm much bigger than that."
We know tmac, you are in fact SO MUCH bigger than that, you voice this point in half of every article you comment in. Over, and over and over.
baby sea tuna @ Nov 9th 2009 2:13PM
Don't get me wrong...I hate that term, but Cody, we've all seen your myspace page and...well...tmac wasn't wrong about that one.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith @ Nov 9th 2009 2:17PM
Having a myspace page is like a giant sign saying "I'm a douche!"
Duke @ Nov 9th 2009 2:17PM
I never thought about the throngs buying COD as fratboys. Madden games yes maybe - COD..I thought that was popular with all gaming spectrums.
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 9th 2009 2:22PM
It may even be worse with COD than it is with madden now, thanks to modern warfare 1. You have to go to a large opening or know someone who has (which won't be hard with this game) to know what I'm talking about.
BIGGEN (LIVE-PSN: BIGGEN1103) @ Nov 9th 2009 2:32PM
@cody
so, do you like it when a white suburbanite acts like he's from compton?
or do you just take offense to what he stereotypes because you act that way?
or did you want us all to know you "produce and record hip hop and r&b music?"
or do you really do that all?
all of the above questions are just thrown out there and are rhetorical...
Duke @ Nov 9th 2009 2:42PM
Hey, don't bust on Co, he runs SouthSyde and they (yf you haven't seen theyr myspace) are able to drynk booze and spell wyth lots of Y's!
religiousjedi @ Nov 9th 2009 2:55PM
Wow...good week for me tmac...
Modern Warfare 2 for my 360...we'll see if archaic dual analog sticks still work for me (speaking of which...maybe some practice on Perfect Dark or Timesplitters 2 would help!!!).
and...
Modern Warfare Reflex for Wii.
Why Reflex if I have MW on my Mac? That's a good question tmac! Quite simple really...initially, when I found out about 10 player online, I shot a bullet against it. Recently though, I realized...I mostly play Team Deathmatch or Sabotage online on Mac. Though still disappointing for Team Deathmatch, Sabotage is certainly playable with only 10. The other shot against buying it was no Wii Speak support (I've rumbles of it being included, but I'm taking it with a grain of salt). Though it still sucks if indeed not supported...is voice chat needed in modes like Team Deathmatch? Every time I play it on Mac, I rarely, if ever, hear people chatting. Really though, I'm buying it mostly because of controls. Seeing gameplay videos of how it works convinced me its at least worth a shot. And yes, the visuals are downgraded, but at least now I can see what's going on (given that I have settings set low on Mac since it's a laptop).
Now you're probably saying to yourself, "You idiot (seems to be your sentiments to anyone who has a Wii--and yes, I've heard you're getting a Wii, but still, various posts of yours on Wii related articles indicate you think most, if not all Wii owners are idiots)...why not just buy MW for 360?!" Simple...I already explained I liked how the Wii controls were, and having played games like Metroid Prime Trilogy, The Conduit, and MoH:H2, I am perfectly comfortable with how in controls, moreso than dual analog. Secondly, will I really play it on 360 if I have MW2? :P
xtremeholymuffin @ Nov 9th 2009 2:59PM
Of course Wigger is a negative term.
Go see (the pretty goddamn underrated) Bamboozled by Spike Lee.
Shagittarius @ Nov 9th 2009 3:14PM
You all are a bunch of Wingers. Kip in particular.
Aaroniero Arruruerie @ Nov 9th 2009 3:30PM
Maybe you people should go to a college before you downvote him
most frat boy are douchebags, its not a myth
