I've just picked up a 360 but I like to keep things wired so I don't have to spend more money and it stays quicker this way.

Waiting 3 years for your 599.99 investment to start to mean something... priceless

Enjoy Ricky Bobby!

80 bucks for wireless N is a rather nice price for me. I get a lot of use out of my 360 so getting a wireless adapter I can use for gaming and HD media with a great connection for 80 bucks is awesome.

So, since my mom has built-in wi-fi... is it possible that I was immaculately conceived?

The implications, here, are HUGE.

RKN and his lies.

Oh well, this is an xbox-centric article so whoever says bad things about the PS3 and/or Sony is immediately upvoted, I can't complain...

You could have saved $5 and effectively get 2 charge kits by not buying the MS play-n-charge kit. Instead, do what @AirIntake and I do. Buy a cheap 4xAA charger for like $15, that comes with a 4 pack of AA rechargeable batteries. Like:

http://www.amazon.com/Duracell-Charger-Rechargeable-Batteries-CEF14DX4N/dp/B000XSBVMU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257805289&sr=8-1

I always have two batteries fully charged. When one set is out, I swap batteries, and lose only about 1 minute of game-time. Oh, and I never have to plug in my controller to the 360.

RKN really? The failure rate is WAY lower than the 360. The problem is there for sure, but it only affects certain units, and only some of them.

Did some shop assistant leave a 1 off the front of the price, or is this cheaper than the old one by quite a bit?...

Computer= 500$
Computer Monitor= 200$
Mouse= 20$
Internet Provider= 80$ a month

Using all that money to spend your time leaving fanboy comments on a website that nobody will give a second thought about while proving at the same time that you are insecure about your PS3 purchase= PRICELESS.

We're not using fanboy math. Here is how you do it:

Xbox 360: 300 dollars
Hard drive upgrade: 150
Wireless adapter: 80
Wireless router: 50
3 controllers: 60 each
HDTV: 1000
Blu-ray player (Because the 360 doesn't have one): 200
Games: 60
Monster HDMI cable: 100
XBL for 10 years: 500

Don't forget any and all useless shit and things you don't even want or need.

Feel free to overlook this, to keep the fanboy war going but....no major retailer? Really Joystiq?

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11501393&whse=BC&Ne=5000001+4000000&eCat=BC|25429|57455&N=4018117%204294967208&Mo=7&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav=

and I quote "This product is scheduled to be released on November 10, 2009."

Costco online - 87.99
