Japanese Final Fantasy XIII includes 'secret in-game item' for FFXIV

Apparently, Famitsu also notes that the item is exclusive to Japan and, though limited, will be included with all FFXIII PS3 bundles (also Japan-exclusive). Since we're certain that someone reading this is currently weighing the import costs of one of those bundles against the value of an exclusive virtual goody, we hope for you and your family's sake that a friend is by your side, calling in an intervention right now. It's really for the best.

That's certainly a step in the right direction! I can't help but try to imagine that guy in the picture existing in real life, and all the subsequent laughing I'd do if I saw him.

I love me some Final Fantasy, but the years of waiting, hype, screenshots, and FFXIV announcement make me feel like I've already beaten FFXIII.

If only I cared at all about FFXIV.... things might be different if it wasn't a completely different genre from this game, adding on a pay-to-play model...

They'll probably just remove it from the PS3 version in the US/NA.
