Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures $20 sale extended
We're not ones to cast aspersions about your horrible proclivity for procrastination -- heck, we haven't filed income taxes since, like, 2002 -- but if you chose to wait before cashing in on last week's Wallace and Gromit's Grand Adventures sale, it nearly cost you very dearly. We say almost because Telltale decided to extend the offer past its initial Monday deadline, letting adventure game junkies continue to pick up the entire four-episode season of Wallace and Gromit for just $20. The developer hasn't given the sale a new expiration date, so please ... procrastinate responsibly.

I only tried the first one (the one with the bees) and it wasn't that exciting IMO. Tales of Monkey Island is so much better. However, if you like the show, then you'll still enjoy the game. I just found the puzzles to be somewhat... uneven.

I want to play these, i really love adventure games, but ever since i was a child and had a horrible nightmare, I've always been terrified of claymation

As long as the Scarecrow doesn't come to play with you, you should be fine.
Markez @ Nov 11th 2009 11:12PM
What did um... What did the clay do to you, Wayne?
I'm more curious at this point about which of the point n' clicks is the best. I bought Strong Bad on WiiWare, wasn't *too* enthralled. Played the Wallace and Gromit demo, the Sam & Max demo, and just dunno if I can get back into these type games.

What, did Gumby do something?
Markez @ Nov 11th 2009 11:18PM
Instead of riding Pokey... Gumby rode you, HIYOOOOOO
Sorry

Not sure if you'll see it, but welcome aboard!
We've got The Goddamn Batman now!

the dream was that I was Montana Max from Tiny Toons, the cartoon where iconic warner brothers characters taught school to smaller versions of themselves. Montana Max was Yosemite Sam's counterpart. Anyway, im Montana Max, and im sitting there on my couch in the dark of night, cowering in absolute terror, and as the "camera" pans out, i see a claymation man, who is not a man at all, but a monster made out of sliced onions with the purple skin removed, eating a bag of chips, and watching TV with nothing but static on the screen. Not very frightening maybe, but imo wallace and grommit are scary enough on their own
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 11th 2009 11:44PM
That is a bit odd.
ATDF is going crazy now. We've got Blank-Mage, Bobby, Alton, Electro, Cheezy, Traceur...oh, and The Goddamn Batman.
And me.
Bobby Kotick - Co-Founder of the ATDF @ Nov 11th 2009 11:49PM
I think this is how Capt. Planet got his start around here...

We need The Captain to join us.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 12th 2009 12:03AM
WOOHOO! We got one already!
Alton Brown (Now With Mystic Eyes of Death Perception!) @ Nov 12th 2009 12:07AM
Montana Max was an asshole. Buster should have kicked his teeth in.
ChuckBartowski (ATDF Technical Consultant) @ Nov 12th 2009 12:07AM
Claymation sometimes does bother me. Its when its really crappy and Skippy.Wallace and grommit hasnt been that bad though. I always watched these when i was a kid.
AoE @ Nov 12th 2009 2:16AM
@ Bradwart & Kotick,
You guys founded the American Tap Dancing Foundation together? That is so cute!
Powerlord @ Nov 11th 2009 11:18PM
The sale for all 4 games that were $20 a season has been extended.
That includes:
Sam & Max: Save the World (Season 1)
Sam & Max: Beyond Time & Space (Season 2)
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People
Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures
Powerlord @ Nov 11th 2009 11:21PM
Note that for the others, the discount doesn't appear until you view your shopping cart, at which point it takes off $14.95 (or 9.95 for Sam & Max Season One). This applies to the versions with bonus discs, too.
Cleric @ Nov 11th 2009 11:47PM
That's not working for me, I tried putting them both in the cart and they're still full price. The Wallace one works, but Sam & Max Season 2 and Homestar are still 35.
Powerlord @ Nov 11th 2009 11:48PM
Weird, I tried out the Sam & Max Season Two one before posting this.
Cleric @ Nov 12th 2009 12:22AM
Weird, I've been dying for a TTG sale forever, maybe they'll do it one of these days, Wallace and Tales I'm not so interested in, but I def. want Season 3 and Homestar.
Oh well, maybe it's Steams way of telling me to finish Demon's Souls, Dragon Age, Borderlands, etc first.
Powerlord @ Nov 12th 2009 12:08AM
I hate this reply system. That should have appeared under Cleric's post.
Cleric @ Nov 12th 2009 12:23AM
I think TTG should try to get the Muppets licenses for games. Detective Grover game? Hell yes.

I just got the pack on Steam. Wish I could have gotten the deal there for the Sam & Max games as well.
