A tour of Battlefield: Bad Company 2's multiplayer

You guys like games about modern warfare, right? We heard that somewhere. If so, you'll probably be interested in hearing more about Battlefield: Bad Company 2. What, did you think we were talking about another game?

In the G4 video after the break, producer Gordon Van Dyke provides a running commentary of direct-feed multiplayer footage, demonstrating the kind of gameplay you'll be able to help tune (and also enjoy) in the PS3 multiplayer beta. Or, to put it a different way, there's thirteen minutes of direct-feed Bad Company 2 footage after the break. Hardly needs any more dressing up than that, does it? Enjoy it -- no tips required.

This game is going to be INTENSE.

That sniper is pretty bad ass, he killed the dev about 3 times and proceeded to knife everybody in the room towards the end haha

Intense for sure! The sound design is absolutely amazing in the video. I just hope it gets a lot of the MW2 audience. Most people, I think, want to play 1 or the other instead of giving both a shot.

Why the hell don't they just call it "Battlefield:The Mutiplayer That Should Have Been in MW2"? It's pretty obvious that it doesn't have a damn thing to do with the original, so call it what it is already and lets be done with it.

They could call it "Battlefield: Modern Warfare Too".

I joined the Dark Side ever since I saw The Phantom Menace. That movie made me feel bad that I was a Star Wars fan.

I think I'd go Empire, Revenge, Return, New Hope, Menace, Clones.

The romance dialogue in Clones was just fracking terrible. Really I and II don't even count as films.

I believe Lucas is aware his changes weren't welcome. Some of the updates were all right, though.

I still have my VHS box-set from the 90's and I love it so much. The DVD box-set was a disappointment to me being an original Star Wars fan from the 80's.

Sorry to offend you with my off-topic posts. On-topic: Yeah BC2 looks great. Going to get it for PC when I get a new gaming PC next year, but till then I'll be playing the shit out of the beta.

Analog sensitivity?

Again, works against all console FPS logic. They're WAY too sensitive, and if you lower it to a point in which it's acceptable, it takes a million years to turn around.

Don't get why I'm the only one who feels this way, but I do :/

I think the idea was that youd aim in the general direction of the enemy and the pull up the sights and fine tune the aim. It pretty much made hip firing useless and imo made it more fun, because it gives you time to react to an enemy that popped around a corner.

The vehicle controls are great in 1943. Unless of course you are really bad at flying, then they're not that great.

Got my key too. Can't wait! I hope I'm not going to spoil the game for myself too much by playing the beta, but I can't resist! I hope there's some good mods that come out for this game like Battlefield 2.

I played BC1 to death on the PS3, so this is a must buy for me. Nothing is more satisfying than blowing up buildings and walls and watching the bricks fly around everywhere.. I think I'll go preorder now, any idea if gamestop has a beta code available for people that preorder?

I preordered BF:BC2 from GameStop ages ago on the PS3. How will I get the beta key?

I'll be choosing between this and MAG. I'm in the beta for MAG and it's quite awesome actually ... don't know how I'll choose between them though. flip a coin maybe.

I can't wait for Tuesday! Screw MW2. Activision reduced the textures, compressed the audio files just so they could speed the gameplay up... what a joke MW2 is.

ive never played modern warfare or bad company.

that being said, this looks much more interesting to me than mw2. might have to pre order to check out this beta.

Seriously, this shits all over MW2. Graphics, interactivity, scale, gameplay - it just looks better, imo.

Yea same... I Haven't picked up MW2, so I'll be pre-ordering this instead... love the destructible environments and graphics!

THis game looks great and the destructable enviroments are too cool this game made me stray from cod4 after i played it mwf2 just seemed so fake where nothing is destructable i never noticed before but now it sticks out in every game that doesnt have destructable things
