Rumor: Hotel Dusk sequel coming to DS in Japan early next year

The blog Sinobi seems to have found some retail listings for two new Nintendo games due in the first quarter of 2010 in Japan. Last Window: Mayonaka no Yakusoku (Last Window: Midnight Promise) is a sequel to CING's DS adventure game, Hotel Dusk, set in Los Angeles in the 1980s. It will apparently be out in Japan on January 14!

Zangeki no Reginleiv is the Wii action game revealed in October 2008 as "Dynamic Zan" and not heard from again until just now. It's being developed by Earth Defense Force creator Sandlot, and will include online combat for up to four players when it's released on February 11.

All of these details are unverified, but the fact that Sinobi had the images above for both games (which may come from a retailer catalog) add some credence to the rumor.

I hope we get Elite Beat Agents 2 while were talking sequel.
I know it didn't sell much but it was such a great game.

I agree, elite beat agents was great.

On the other hand, Hotel Dusk, although it started out good, lost my interest
long before the end. What i'd like to see is another Magical Starsign.

The best - gaming related - news I've heard all week.

Hotel Dusk was my one of my favourite games released...in the year it was released in. Though it's been a while since I've played it. Hopefully Cing will stick with the A-Ha-like visuals.

Agree, game was awesome, another one is fantastic news (and I seem to be one of many people who, er, currently doesn't give a damn about the Wii game mentioned).

Loved everything about Hotel Dusk; excited to keep tabs on this sequel.

Hotel Dusk 2 sounds great, but whatever happened to that other adventure game Cing was making about looking at a crime scene before & after?

Hotel Dusk is a fantastic game, hopefully the sequel makes it over to the States.

With Another Code R not coming to North America, I find this worrying. I´d be really annoyed if I had to softmod my Wii to import a Hotel Dusk sequel.

It is made by a western company and has four player online co-op, after all

Its amazing I really hope this is real and we get it here.
