Sony: Uncharted 2 has sold over one million copies

Okay, so Modern Warfare 2 sold more copies than there are people on the planet -- let's not get so lost in the hub-bub of everyone's new fling that we forget about the practically ancient Uncharted 2. Aren't you curious how it's been selling? Well, earlier today, at the BMO Capital Markets "Digital Entertainment Conference," Sony America VP of Business Development Phil Rosenberg announced that "as of last week, we've already sold over a million copies [of Uncharted 2] in just a couple weeks on the market."

We have no way of knowing whether that number is accurate, though with the NPDs due out later today, we imagine we'll be finding out soon if it's as inflated as Nate Drake's ego, or if it's as accurate as Nate Drake ... using ... using a sniper rifle. And shooting stuff. Like, in an accurate manner.

I think this is a serious contender. Unfortunately everyone is going to award it to MW2. I doubt some people are going to look at anything else.

2 things....first......in case you haven't noticed GTA 3 & 4 were in Liberty City.....if it was going to be in Vice City again I would say it would be called GTA: Vice City 2

I've always heard about people having a conniption but I've never seen one. You don't want to see 'em. My wife's face split. My wife's face split and the skin and hair split and came off of her face so that there was nothing except a skull. And orange lights came out of her hair and there was glitter all around. And fire shot from her eye sockets and began to burn my stomach and she said, "WHERE DID THEY GET CHOCOLATE CAKE FROM?" And I said, "They asked for it!" And my wife sent me to my room... which is where I wanted to go in the first place.

can't say that we didn't see this coming.... I was expecting it to sell 2-3 million by the end of the year.....but that would be too much wishful thinking

No reason it shouldn't make 2 million this year, with the Christmas sales and everything.

So far 1.5 Million worldwide as of Nov. 7th, it will pass 2 million by years end.

Terrific game, Naughty Dog deserves it. It's refreshing to play a game that feels like a fun adventure with protagonists you root for instead of the now stereotypical FPS antihero.

will the NPDs give us a true view? last time i checked NPDs were only in NA so we will only see a 1/3 of the picture. but i hope it has sold over 1 million Naught Dawg deserves it for making such a great game.

This game is just Amazing, It deserves even more sales, not because of "the sales", because more people need to experience IT

this depresses me a little. why does a game this amazing still only muster up a million in first month sales. i was honestly hoping for 2-3 million. hopefully sony puts together some amazing christmas ads to get this game selling. it really is one of the flagship games this holiday and it deserves flagship sales.

WOW..only a million..I mean how many PS3 owners are out there? I thought it would have sold more. I mean I have the game myself and I have to tell you the first one was better than this one..This game disappointed me alot.
The pace of the game was the same as the first introducing characters at the same time to do the same type of levels. Then there are levels where there is no fighting but running an obstacle course. Enemies all look repetitive and also you never get to fight your enemies they just kill themselves or something kills them.

I don't know... 1 million isn't that impressive... I know it doesn't matter in terms of quality but, Sony has to be disappointed that their big, exclusive title hasn't blown up...
