The first episode of Assassin's Creed: Lineage came as quite the surprise and the two chapters that conclude the backstory for Assassin's Creed II don't come any differently. There's more bloodshed, more plotting in the dark (the most sinister kind of plotting!) and a bit of our old elementary school pastime, note shuffling. It's like passing around a note, but nobody reads it and it's super secretive.

It's well done, but it bored the hell out of me.

Yeah, I'm pretty much the same on the "very well done but not terribly interesting" vibe. The fights are a little stiff at times, compared to how Ezio moves in the game. But the acting, the voiceovers, the effects, the casting... it's all pretty much dead on for the sort of production values you'd hope to see in a title with this much cash pushing it.
But, uh... kind of a dry view, yeah. Just not enough *zazz* in that script.

I know I've said millions of times before, but this is seriously my most anticipated game of the year.

Say what you want about these things, but I'm living proof that they're effective. The Lineage episodes and the developer diaries get me psyched, keep my interested, and keep the game on my mind. Because of this, I've kept a greater watch on the title, and it looks very good to me. After Modern Warfare (which I just got), I'm only getting two more games until early next year, and along with Uncharted, I do think I'm going to pick this up. Props to Ubisoft...

I hate how the fat guy betrays you and kills your dad. And the first scene with Cristina is lulz

they actually showed all of these in sequence on spike just a couple nights ago... it was cool to see them without the interludes... though the all green screen environments bug me alot, they are still relatively well done... they might show them again, if you can sit through all the extenze and ggw commercials during it that is
