Reminder: Assassin's Creed, too, on PSP next week
In addition to showcasing the game's crisp look, the trailer emphasizes connectivity between Assassin's Creed II on PS3 and Bloodlines on PSP -- both due out next week -- without actually going into detail. Thankfully, we already found out about some of those features.

i'm really hoping it'll be better than the 3-hour long DS version.
Platy @ Nov 13th 2009 3:07PM
But i have to say that i really liked the assasin's creed 2 on ds

So you play as Altair in Assassins Creed: Bloodlines, does that mean that this is just Assassins Creed 1, except on PSP?
Forgive me if I'm wrong in this, maybe I've missed some news about it.

Takes place after AC1, but (way) before AC2.

Ok, I'll be picking Bloodlines up in that case. Thanks for the info Andrew :-)

So it's actually canon unlike that Altair's Chronicles on DS?
I also remember hearing about another Assassins Creed game on DS, is that canon?
The Pirate @ Nov 13th 2009 3:14PM
Its actually a very good game. The controls are a little stiff and there arnt as many people around, but it provides an excuse for the people. People are too afraid to leave their homes :P They changed Altair's voice actor to a Persian one, so he sounds more authentic now.

Anyone see more than 4 guys on-screen at once? This is Dead Rising Wii all over again.
Dhampir @ Nov 13th 2009 4:10PM
The animations look great, Altair's model is excellent, the rest are a little "odd". The controls and movement are smooth. The camera is pretty respectable, but you can't look down off the edge of buildings(for throwing knife kills). The gameplay is making me fall asleep. You can walk up to guards and stab them with the hidden blade, even after they have drawn their swords, I have yet to find one that parries. First boss was defeated by just tapping square. All guards show up on a minimap, so you are a little too aware of your surroundings. Assassin's creed wasn't a difficult game, but this is just too easy.
zeh_chicken_overlord @ Nov 14th 2009 6:19AM
The first boss was kinda in a tutorial level. After it all the guards will block your hidden blade after they've drawn their sword and bosses will get harder. Don't be so quick to judge a game after the first level. I just killed The Bull and it is indeed a great addition to the psp. Sadly I don't have my charger with me xD.

God dammit. You know I'd *like* to sell my PSP off and get a Zune (since just about all of my PSP usage is for media and internet nowadays), but stuff like this (and GTA & Metal Gear), make me reconsider. I'll see how the reviews go, but I'll be honest, I'm definitely interested.
