I had no idea this was happening, but BestBuy just sent me DLC codes for Rita, Day in the Life, and Oh! Darling because I bought the game from them a couple weeks ago.

I do loves me some free DLC.

Ok I am finally getting to the Rock Bandwagon. Can anyone please explain how the importing of games works? I think I recall someone saying it's $10 each to import the previous titles to the newest. Just want to know the best route for a good rock band experience. Also I have the GH3 guitar, before they added the tapping thing to it. Will that work with RB?

Rock Band 2 is the main 'platform'

$5 to import Rock Band 1 (used copies are OK)

$10 to import LEGO Rock Band (new, one time use only codes)

Track Packs have DLC codes which are free (new, one time use only codes)

The Beatles is completely independent from all of this.

And your GH3 guitar is the best (imo). It can suffer from missed notes over time, but there's a quick fix available that I've used. I'd have to google it to find it again.

@GewurztraminerX

Thank you for the helpful information. Also do you mean that the guitar tends to wear down after use or just suffers from missed notes in general for RB? My guitar broke and red octane replaced it. Since then I haven't even used it.

It has to do with the detachable neck. It'll loosen over time which can make it so the circuit is incomplete while playing, therefore missing notes even when you know you're holding down the frets. I know it's an issue on the 360, not sure about the PS3, and so far the Wii seems safe from the issue (but if you're talking about importing I'll assume you're not planning on the Wii for Rock Band).

For me, it only affected the green fret, but that's still a big deal. I was all set to get a new controller when I came across a review on Amazon that talked about how to fix the very same issue (http://www.amazon.com/review/R3LQ1F5NHNJ9WC/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm). I don't think I used the site he linked in the review, but I basically got the idea that it was fixable from the review and googled more about it until finding a site with pretty easy instructions on how to fix it. It's an easy mod; just need the right screwdriver, relocate a chip inside, and put it back together. Certainly cheaper than buying a new controller.

But hey, if you have brand new unused controller, probably not an issue right now.

Yeah my guitar had the issue of acting as if the strum bar was constantly being held down. I suppose I shouldn't have to worry about that for a while. This will be good to keep in my book marks for future reference if need be. You both have been a great deal of help in clarifying my questions. Thank you :)

The Beatles DLC will play on The Beatles: Rock Band, but not on any other title.
The Beatles: Rock Band can NOT be exported for use in other Rock Band titles.

DLC from anyone other than The Beatles will work in Rock Band and Rock Band 2.
For the main series, you will want to play via Rock Band 2, since Rock Band 2 can't export yet.

I'm 95% sure of these prices, so it could be wrong.
It's $5 to export Rock Band (1) tracks.
It's $10 to export Lego Rock Band tracks.
And it's free to export Rock Band Track Packs (AC/DC, genre-based, etc.).

It's one cent cheaper on PS3.

Guess that's the advantage of not having to price it in Microsoft FunBucks.

The song that's on the disc is a mash-up of "Within You Without You" and "Tomorrow Never Knows" for the 2006 album Love. This WYWY is the original album version.

The track included on the disc is a remix from the "Love" soundtrack. It combined Within You Without You with the drums from Tomorrow Never Knows, hence the title.

How is it crappy? Both songs are the Beatles and they blend in together well. Plus the effect, especially with the Beatles: Rock Band trippy dreamscape is great.

This price seems much more reasonable than Abbey Road's $18, and there should be more interesting stuff in the dreamscapes this time around. Hooray for Mr. Kite and When I'm 64, too!

So if they do the White Album (which they better, Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey must come out), do you think they'll release it as one big pack or two?
