PS: How awesome was that snowmobile chase?
- Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Dragon Age: Origins. Not gonna lie, it's taken over my free time life. Just need to complete one playthrough, but that game is substantial. Oh, but I do keep hearing about this Torchlight game.
- Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): Honestly, I can't say I'm a big fan of Modern Warfare 2 (and no, it's not because I'm playing the PS3 version). The storytelling is so absurd that I just can't take this one seriously. So instead, I'll be playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
- Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Like Dave, my weekend will be devoted to finishing Modern Warfare 2. When I'm out of pocket, I'll be playing bitFLIP on the iPhone and Hotel Dusk on DS, 'cause I'm thrifty like that.
- Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): Follow the whole Joystiq team on Twitter: here. Last weekend I managed to wrap Uncharted 2, Resident Evil 5, WET, and Dead Space: Extraction. This weekend, I plan on finishing up the main course in DJ Hero, the last act of Modern Warfare 2, and clock some quality time with Left 4 Dead 2.
- David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I'm going to a friend's birthday bash on Saturday night, but every other waking moment of this weekend will be spent playing Modern Warfare 2. Still haven't finished the campaign -- have many murders to make and miles to marathon run before I sleep. I feel so bad for these copies of Brütal Legend, Dragon Age: Origins, Borderlands and Halo 3: ODST are collecting dust, but I'm sure I won't do anything about it.
- Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): I'll be playing Modern Warfare 2, and having my spirits crushed by people who are way, way better than I could ever be. When I reach the brink of madness, I'll switch on over to LittleBigPlanet PSP.
- James Ransom-Wiley: Can you believe it? I have yet to fire a single bullet in Modern Warfare 2. That must change.
- JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): For some reason, I waited until it came out in America to get immersed in my Japanese copy of Phantasy Star Zero. Now if I could only fix my router settings and get online...
- Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): Now that I've finished the future's Assassin's Creed II, I think I'll go back and play some golden oldies like Modern Warfare 2.
- Kevin Kelly (@gadgetguy): I'm playing CoDMW2 with my night vision goggles on in hopes of scorching my retinas. Also, a lot more Machinarium. It has an extremely beautiful soundtrack that comes with the game if you buy it from their site. Best $20 I've spent in a long time.
- Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I still have to round up the last few golden bolts in Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, but I'm finally free to end my RPG stoppage and immerse myself in some dragonage.
- Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) I'll be playing Modern Warfare 2, too. Turns out I'm much more lethal in multiplayer on PS3 -- must be the more "precise" analog sticks? Bought it on 360, though, so if anyone has some preferred aiming adjustments (I'm playing on default) I'd love to hear 'em in comments!
- Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): If effing GameFly can get Modern Warfare 2 here -- they said it shipped on Saturday! -- then I'll be playing that. Otherwise, it's more Achievement farming in Halo Wars (gotta get that Halo Waypoint rank up).
- Xav de Matos (@Xav): Finishing up Modern Warfare 2 on Veteran is my weekend plan, nearly there. Other than that, I'm rocking GTA: Chinatown Wars (PSP), the Xbox classic Jet Set Radio Future, and Beat Hazard, one of the best Xbox Indie Games I've played in a dog's age. Seriously. Check it out.

Playing lots and lots of MW2, but only if my friends are on...won't even consider going online in that game alone. When my friends aren't on I guess I'll be finishing up the few dragon age achievements I have left while waiting for AC2 and God of War collection Tuesday. Getting NSMB wii when it comes out but I can't play it until christmas so I don't count it yet :\

Starcraft 2 does have LAN, it just authenticates through Battle.net. Wasn't this resolved, like, months ago?

Authenticating through the internet is NOT lan. Maybe once it does this it behaves as if it were a lan game, but it's not really lan support unless I can play with some friends if the internet is down.

I caved in and ended up buying the Ballad of Gay Tony anyways, although I preferred having it on disc, I'll pick it up at some point in the future. Anyone wants to go for some base jumping in multi player, feel free to add me. (GT is the same as my username here).
Also, got Dead Space for 10 bucks at Target on clearance and Mini Ninja's for 13 (they screwed up the price tags on both of 'm)

Well, Randy, I may be wrong, but I believe the sticks on the 360 pad are '8-bit' sensitivity, while the DualShock sticks are '10-bit'.
Haven't really noticed any major differences before, though.
I'm playing more Modern Warfare 2, of course, and I need to get back into Dragon Age. I got distracted with the new edition of TFU, and it's only gotten worse with MW2.

Yeah, but i think that the 360 sticks are shorter/ have a smaller radius so it evens out. it's up to personal preference though. i like the 360 sticks better for fps's for some reason.

I started down that rabbit hole of buying RB2 songs. I can already see this is going to be expensive.
Also, I might have a chance to get L4D2 tomorrow (some idiot got it early and traded it in at the MW2 launch). My friend at the Gamestop is holding it for me in case, but I want to give Valve my money and don't want to get banned. But still, L4D2... The already have a couple of MW2 copies used already tho, so I might go that route instead and play it safe.

The last few days before NSMBWii are being filled with Brawl, and my steady recovery from the flu. Pretty sure it wasn't the swine flu, though it was pretty brutal. I was shivering like mad all day yesterday, and had a cough that more or less prevented me from breathing through my mouth, which was a tough decision with the stuffy nose
And i'm in a short term war with my University's IT department, who has accused me of torrenting Lil Wayne mp3s (lol. like i'd ever), and recommended that i have my hard-drive re-imaged as a result

A lot of Torchlight on the PC, I'm falling in love with that game, reminds me a lot of the old Diablo 2 days.. MW2 on the PC too, and I really don't see what all the bitching is about.. Probably because I'm used to the way console games work anyway. Uncharted 2 CO-OP for kicks every now and then and little Demon's souls sprinkled in too. If anyone wants to team up for uncharted 2 or Demon's souls, add me PSN:bumblo

Playing MW2 on the PC. Not a bad game, but wish I had spent less for it, lucky I already paid $50 for it thanks to Fry's Electronics, $60, I'd really be unhappy.
MW2 is first time I'm playing multiplayer ever and I am enjoying it, I will try out other games like the prequel to see the allure of dedicated servers and all that. I'm hearing there's already someone working on dedicated servers and leaning for the PC version.
I'm afraid to beat the campaign, I'm already in Act 3, it feels FAR shorter than the one in the first game, or is it just me???
I hope aside from the inevitable multiplayer maps as DLC, more single player missions will be offered, like more special ops missions. Shame from the 20 something we already have, several are multiplayer only, so I can't play them. Maybe someone can hack splitscreen into the PC version and I'll hook it to the TV to play with my bro.

It's almost absurdly short. I doubt I topped 6 hours in my first play through, and that is with multiple deaths. The game is challenging though, with excellent enemy AI in most parts, and plenty of variety in the weaponry you can use. The story is a little bit iffy though, and I had to read wikipedia after I was done to understand some of the plot points. Definitely not the best FPS story ever, but that isn't really the draw anyway.
Why can't you play the multiplayer missions? Do they not support online play? They do on the console, though I've yet to complete any of them (getting friends brains wrapped around the idea of going online to play a 10 minute mission is difficult)

They do support online play but I don't want to buy another copy of the game so I can play it with my brother. He has cracked the game and put it on his Steam account and paid me a bit for the game. He just wants to play the SP. I'm hoping I could play the co-op with him that way....

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks this, but not that awesome. I got to steer left and right to avoid trees as I was going down a hill. I felt like I didn't have to do much to beat it. The rooftop chase was a little better, because I had no gun, and I could go in more than 2 directions. I guess they were going for the whole cinematic feel, but after just finishing Uncharted 2, I suppose it's just lost on me

I'm still enjoying my new 360 while my ps3 is getting fixed. I have to wait to get MW2 because most of my mates are on ps3 so I'm getting it for that. In the meantime I've been playing sweet xbox exclusives I've missed out on the last few years (Crackdown, Gears, Forza). Speaking of killstreaks I have been in 2 matches today were some guy actually manage to activate an EMP.I wonder if anyone have manage to use the nuke already.

I've seen the EMP used several times, but never the nuke. It will be considerably difficult to ever use it.
