With original Fallout IP holder Interplay currently embroiled in a legal battle with new Fallout IP holder Bethesda Softworks, it's no surprise that the most recently "leaked" images from Interplay's Project V13 are said to be from an "anonymous, but reliable" source. The Vault Wiki even goes as far as to claim that the images are directly from Interplay, saying "These screenshots were actually submitted by Interplay as court evidence to show that the game is in full production already."
Putting on our super sleuth detective caps, a Nuka-Cola billboard and the inclusion of a supermutant in these screens certainly confirms they are from some form of Fallout game. Big Download points out that these screens look awfully similar to concept art released by Interplay not too long ago. Without any solid confirmation from Interplay as to the origin of these screens though, we're gonna have to keep it filed strictly under the "rumor" category for now.

I am concerned with the look of the game, Although for some reason Bethesda decides to stick with that wonky character model of theirs, Part of the appeal of the franchise is its look, and when two things look different, there arises a competition for our attention. For the Elder Scroll franchise is in abundance amongst a sea of fantasy titles. Anyways what concerns me is that the look of the character model in this picture, either male or female it looks appalling. Perhaps they gives us a fully customizable body to create.

I stand by Fo3 as my favorite console RPG of all time. I've clocked in over 130 hours into that masterpiece, and I was begging for more - and thats not even scractching the surface of the PC version and all the mods out there. While a fallout MMO sounds good on paper - I think the pacing, and writing of the fallout universe works best in a SP environment. (I played Fo2, but not Fo1) Despite interplay being the original holders of the IP - I think bethesda has taken the franchise a long way that they never could and I think them leaking this screen shot proves that.

It doesn't look 'dirty' enough to be Fallout.

Is it me or do these look cell shaded?
Not that I'm complaining, cell shaded graphics always perk up my interest.

As someone who played the original Fallout games back in their prime, I was incredibly let down by Fallout 3. That was hardly a product of any differences I found between the originals and the new game though, it was more so because it was basically an Oblivion mod. No joke. Did I enjoy Oblivion? Quite a bit, but did I want to pay another 50-60 for the same experience? Hell no, and that's exactly what it was, the same experience. I do believe Fallout 3 is almost annoyingly overrated- however, I can still see why its been as successful as it has.
