the game launching is nice though.

To me, I think the whole idea of spending 5 minutes logging into home and gathering friends to launch a game is pointless.

I find home just fine I mean its not great but I've a lot of chill people that I've eventually put on my friend list. Plus its a good way to meet Uncharted 2 and Tekken 6 players. I wish they did something with that trophy display option they were talking about

I use Home to launch Buzz: World Tour so I always get a full room of players I can interact with before hand. Home is wonderful.

That's because the Buzz! space is the only space worth staying at for more than 5 mins.

I've always wondered about the demographics of people who regularly use PlayStation Home (ie, at least once a week). Would be interesting reading I think.

I used Home to chill with other players. If you talk to peoples (by talking I'm implying not asking them if they are a girl) and behave there is fun to be had. Also, with the game spaces, the game launching has a lot of value.

For some game, there's a bunch of douches online, but with a home space you can find more mature players easily.

Yeah the login time is awful and having to download each space at every single visit is a pain. But, dudes, its still in Beta so don't hope for miracles.

With XI, they made a good demonstration of medias integration and integrated games in home.

So, in time, it's probably become like the lovechild of a Online chat and and an Arcade.

I would like to see "Adult space" where there is no moderation on content and older players.

It's simple, once they stop charging you for even taking a few steps then 'home' will become more lovable. Before it launched I was actually quite excited by the possibilities, inc the trophy room and a virtual meeting place in a custom designed apartment with your music/videos streaming through TVs in that apartment etc.... all sounded quite fun

then I realised that it was actually still SHORT on features, and those it did have were asking you to pay stupid money for the smallest of things.

The reason home is failing is because Sony/Developers are seeing it as a cash grabbing device and it just doesn't have the allure to do that, it's simply not desirable enough to have sane adults paying £/$ for a 'hat' or a lamp. So without paying, what you can do in home (customising wise) is extremely restricted, so we just log out cos we are bored.

Sony needs to wake up, get all that virtual TV/music/vid stuff in properly and for free.. and stop charging for virtual items. That is only going to appeal to kids (with their momma's credit card) or retarded online RPG geeks. The rest of us usual/casual adults find no compelling reason to return to home often when we know already there is NOTHING new we can do, nothing to customise because Sony are trying to 'tax' us on every item. We use games to escape reality and home should be similar, don't burden us with MORE costs than we have in real life - and they wonder why it's simply not fun.

My GF loves to do all that 'design your own virtual house' thing (decorating) in games, but even she can't take to HOME because it's so restricted, and like me she is no prepared to shell out even 50p for some random item.. why? because it's not JUST 50p, it's the ££££ hundreds you would end up spending once you got into it, and if you didn't spend you would just grow tired of the one lamp/costumer you bought and still leave. It's unworkable and it leaves a bad feeling each time I log in. I've never bought anything in home nor will I and that is the flaw right there. They need to encourage millions of owners to use home, but right now it's restricting itself only to those who don't mind micro transactions. Not a good way to do it, save the money making for GAMES that are actually (sometimes) worth it.

"and they wonder why it's simply not fun."

Speak for yourself man , I like Home. If your chick likes decorating get her a real house J.K but get her a Sims game or something. Because see, Home isn't a game, it's to meet random people and to socialize with other gamers and maybe have a lil chat here and there. It's also in a BETA process so of course it's "RESTRICTED", that's why SONY has a dedicated team for Home to update it as soon as possible, and its free, they don't charge you. How dare they make money! Right? That's what you're implying, I mean think about it. It's not like they're charging you for the service, so who gives a damn if they charge for a shirt? You got to hand it to them, they've done a lot since Home first came out and no other console (Wii or Xbox offers) anything like it. Love it or hate it, being Homeless sucks!
