Peggle and Peggle Nights coming to PSN on Nov. 19
With the exception of Tetris, Blast Corps and Mischief Makers, Peggle is arguably the best game ever created. This Thursday, November 19, PS3 owners will be able to find out why, thanks to the simultaneous release of Peggle and Peggle Nights on the PlayStation Network.
Sure, it's been a long time coming, but the PS3 will have one exclusive feature to make up for the delayed release: Built-in YouTube support. With this feature, players will be able to upload and share replays directly from the PS3. If you've played Peggle before, you know you're bound to have some "OMG did that really happen" moments you'll want to save forever.

It's about time.
I was thinking I'd be able to play Peggle on my freakin' Toaster, before I could play it on PSN.
AoE @ Nov 16th 2009 8:04PM
Andrew Yoon, I call foul! You imply by exclusion that Pac-Man is not as good a game as Peggle, and I think we both know that's a load of crap. Peggle is excellent, but it is no Pac-Man.
That said, to all of my PS3 owning brethren who have yet to try Peggle yet... I am sorry for the sudden and tragic loss of your free time, please let me know where to send flowers. :(
fundando @ Nov 16th 2009 8:50PM
Yeah I've never played this before. But it definitely looks like it's worth picking up.
HighFiveJesus @ Nov 16th 2009 10:09PM
pacman is the same level over and over with different colors. peggle has way more depth.

Question is, will it be overpriced like Zuma is?
Zuma is 5 on XBLA and 10 on the PSN...
Solace @ Nov 16th 2009 8:13PM
try $15
$10 for the game $5 for DLC. I'm not liking the price so I'm skipping it for something better hopefully.
CrashSpyro123 @ Nov 17th 2009 5:03AM
It's the same price as it is on XBLA, as Nights is coming out as DLC for $5 this week.
yyr @ Nov 17th 2009 10:28AM
To be fair, Zuma was $10 on XBLA first. It only went down to $5 after a couple of years.
B3astofthe3ast @ Nov 16th 2009 8:07PM
The built in youtube part is actually really cool. More games should incorporate it, like Rock Band, although I doubt the labels will not be happy with such an easy way of uploading their music.
Dave @ Nov 16th 2009 8:07PM
What's the difference in the games?
Schiller311 @ Nov 16th 2009 8:09PM
Peggle Nights is an expansion that has about a third more levels than the original game.
Dave @ Nov 16th 2009 8:32PM
So I imagine that Peggle will be about $10 and the expansion about $5? I can deal with that.
bennymasta12 @ Nov 16th 2009 8:11PM
I cant wait to see what the trophies are for this game!... Not that they are important or anything , ya know?
fundando @ Nov 16th 2009 9:04PM
you trophy whore you
CaramelZappa @ Nov 16th 2009 8:11PM
I like the built in youtube uploading. Really clever feature.

*cues "Ode to Joy"*
If it hadn't been for Joystiq, I wouldn't have known that Peggle had gone on sale in the iTunes store. I was surprised to find myself addicted to it. Really cool game.
I don't know if it's just my imagination, but the quirkiness of the game is rather reminiscent of Joystiq humor. (It could be because of the way I associate Peggle with Joystiq and vice-versa, though.)
When I get my PS3, I'll be sure to go and get Peggle together with Fat Princess.
Freakwincy42 @ Nov 16th 2009 8:17PM
dude... BLAST CORPS!!! i remember that game fondly, thanks for reminding me, Joystiq. can we get a new one people?
EGOvoruhk @ Nov 16th 2009 9:01PM
I would shit my pants for a new one. I'd even settle for an XBLA remake. The replayability of that game was out of this world
Platy @ Nov 16th 2009 9:24PM
I remember that it had INSANELY DIFICULT levels .... and to think that mischief makers is a Treasure game .....
i kinda feel like peggle is a little .... EASY for the list xD
razer922 @ Nov 16th 2009 9:36PM
If you had the NTSC version (and therefore the Z-Trick) the only really tough main level was Diamond Sands. Otherwise, Oyster Harbor was definitely on that list. That said, BLAST CORPS HELL YES. That should be next on Rare's list of XBLA remakes, no question about it- unless they actually plan on redoing Jet Force Gemini... then I can wait.
manmanpotty @ Nov 16th 2009 8:23PM
Mischief Makers is the reason I had a N64
tmacairjordan87 @ Nov 16th 2009 8:32PM
Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, and Goldeneye just weren't good enough eh?
silverwolf761 @ Nov 16th 2009 8:34PM
I REALLY liked (and still like) that game for some reason. Has it been put up on the Virtual Console yet? I'd love to play it again.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 16th 2009 8:35PM
Or DK 64, Harvest Moon 64, and the good versions of Mario Party?
EGOvoruhk @ Nov 16th 2009 8:58PM
@tmacairjordan87 & Darth: Considering none of those games were mentioned in the article as Mischief Makers was, I don't see how they're really relevant...
Rodrigo @ Nov 16th 2009 8:58PM
Mischief Makers is the amazing-est N64 game ever made...
CheeziePotato @ Nov 16th 2009 9:13PM
Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Paper Mario, Conker, Mario Kart 64, SSB?
Guitar Hero @ Nov 17th 2009 8:31AM
How could you forget Perfect Dark?
Koenn @ Nov 17th 2009 10:00AM
All these replies and not a single mention of Star Fox 64? Come on, guys.
Also, how 'bout that Tetrisphere?
Nathan-DTS [He is your father] @ Nov 17th 2009 10:29AM
Silly Bradwart, Mario Party was never good. In there's only one party game that has ever been good and that's Crash Bash.
DBuck_Eye @ Nov 16th 2009 8:34PM
"With the exception of Tetris, Blast Corps and Mischief Makers, Peggle is arguably the best game ever created."
Aren't we forgetting one game? Shaq Fu, perhaps? Come on Joystiq. Get on the ball.
PS One time, I took out 58 pegs on my first shot just firing straight down. It was the greatest thing I ever had, have, or will do on my iPod Touch.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 16th 2009 8:35PM
Dude, please tell me you're being sarcastic...

Finally.....!
I have been waiting for this to so long. I will get this because I love this game. I have it on my computer and it is my favorite game on my phone.
UNSCleric @ Nov 16th 2009 8:38PM
Xbox Live has had this for ages.
That Burning Sensation @ Nov 16th 2009 8:41PM
too bad, would be nice to experience the fun for the first time all over again eh?
UNSCleric @ Nov 16th 2009 8:50PM
I kinda will be, when XBL gets Nights before PS3 as well.
Agath @ Nov 16th 2009 8:50PM
aw man i already got it for 360, pc, iphone, another older phone... at least sony can finally say "it only does addicting games"
THE WICKER MAN (BWF) (GT: Dalek Prime) @ Nov 16th 2009 9:04PM
Mischief Makers!!!!! That and the two Zeldas, and the Jakks wrestling games, were the best offerings on N64. I would love for Mischief Makers to be re-released.
Plankfan @ Nov 16th 2009 9:06PM
This is the BEST...NEWS....EVAR!!!!!!!!
Peggle is amazing. I don't care if it's 100.00 It's totally worth it!!!
AoE @ Nov 16th 2009 9:19PM
Uh.... good thing you say that, because Sony told me today that it IS going to be $100 exactly. They also told me that I am an official distributor for the game, so you can just send your $100 to me and I'll send you a download code for the game! :D
texaggie117 @ Nov 17th 2009 12:21AM
After Trine and Braid, my PSN wallet is at capacity for the moment.
Both games were awesome by the way. Trine for the atmosphere and gameplay, Braid for...well for whatever it is its awesome.
WhoDatNinja @ Nov 17th 2009 1:04AM
i'd rather this on my android phone (mytouch)
Brian @ Nov 17th 2009 1:38AM
