This Wednesday: XBLA takes you out for Diner and a Gyromantic date
($15). If it's a cohesive concoction of puzzles, RPG elements and item collection, your departure is likely to be at no point.PlayFirst is also serving up an XBLA version of Diner Dash for 800
($10). The culinary-themed time management game should be an ideal snack in between gorging on Dragon Age: Origins, Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Left 4 Dead 2 and ... hmm. How good are you at time management?

I'm probably more likely to pick up Gyromancer in the next week or so than I am any of the big titles (if it's well received at all). I'm in a mood for something like that and can far more easily spend fifteen bucks right now than fifty or sixty.

1200 MS points is $20 in Canada. For a Popcap game? Not fucking likely.
DanteSparda504 @ Nov 16th 2009 3:55PM
Arent all Popcap titles $20 on the PC?
koehler83 @ Nov 16th 2009 4:41PM
Holy fuck are you serious?! I pay like $2 on iPhone!
Who are these retards buying this crap on PC at that price?
Tonicboy @ Nov 17th 2009 12:52AM
If it's anywhere near as good as crack cocai... ummm, I mean, PuzzleQuest, it's easily worth the money. PQ and Galactrix have both given me many more hours of gameplay than typical $60 games.

Not very good, Joystiq. Arcade titles fall by the wayside at times like this.
I just barely picked up Geometry Wars 2...

I really wish someone would make a game where you have to match coloured shapes of some description in order to clear a screen and score points. It would be an utterly original idea considering nobody has ever thought of it.
Orchard Pear @ Nov 16th 2009 3:22PM
Considering the trend of PopCap games on Steam being $10 shortly after release..
I'll wait and pick it up then.
Of course, there is the "Square Tax" to be considered.. hmm.

Ok, so, i want this game so damn bad but i have a ps3 and a mac... im totally hooped!
and i can not afford to get a new computer or another gaming system just for one game.... i hope POP brings it out with MAC support.

It's called Boot Camp.
Unless you've got a PPC Mac.
Granger @ Nov 16th 2009 3:30PM
Boot Camp isn't an end-all solution. You still have to pay for a Windows license to use it.
This will probably see a Mac release if it's popular enough. All the popular PopCap games eventually do.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can always give Wine a shot (as in, the software that lets you run Windows software on *nix systems, not alcohol... although getting drunk would probably be more fun)

This game has great art, but I'm too deeply involved with Puzzle Quest to give a hoot about a knock-off. I'm completely addicted to Tower Bloxx deluxe too, fantastic game if you overlooked it a few weeks ago.
WiredKnight: Keeper of Threads @ Nov 16th 2009 4:10PM
Judging by the video, this "knock-off" is going to be way better.
Especially considering Puzzle Quest is a knock-off of Bejeweled with RPG elements thrown in.
ikeyayobre @ Nov 16th 2009 3:58PM
bleh game is worthy of the iphone - but for a far cheaper price i would say

I love to eat Diner, though it is a bitch on my teeth, what with all the steel and concrete they use to make my Diner.
Nothing could be finer that eating a diner while I stare at your Vaginer in the ....morning!
HA!
Fernando @ Nov 16th 2009 5:59PM
Cooking Diner is better.
fasty @ Nov 16th 2009 6:12PM
I bought all of those: Dragon Age, MW2, AC 2, L4D2 and i want Gyromancer too. And I play WoW end game. And I work 70 hours a week. I don't know how I will ever get through all this stuff, but I'm going to be very very very tired. :)
Richard Mitchell @ Nov 16th 2009 6:39PM
Oh Luddy, should have been "Diner and Gyromancing." Golden opportunity wasted.

Every single one of the lighting effects on those women focus on their breasts.
They know their audience well.
