EA Sports Active stores open in Boston and San Francisco

EA invited some bloggers to the Boston location for a tour and a workout. Not us, but fitness bloggers. You know, the people that someone might listen to if they cared about being healthy. Luckily for us, those bloggers took plenty of pictures of the inside of the Boston store. If you'd like to visit, the addresses of the stores are posted after the break.
San Francisco: 39 Stockton Street, San Francisco, CA 94108
Boston: 156 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116
Stores open 12pm -7pm, Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday and Sunday

SpyderTaco (PSN: Ar4chNova89) @ Nov 17th 2009 11:19PM
Are you going to eat that comment?
Kus, you know, I kinda skipped lunch.
Special Agent Steve @ Nov 17th 2009 11:45PM
Sorry *burp* I just did. Damn, think what life would be like without EA. :(

The thing is that fitness isn't on the usual gamer's agenda. Excersice and gamers don't usually mix too well.
Why, yes I would like to be able to back that statement up until the Wii Fit's sales numbers come in...
War Machine @ Nov 18th 2009 1:36AM
I think you're in the clear then because real gamers don't buy Wii Fit.
Mogster @ Nov 18th 2009 4:28AM
I'm a 'real' gamer and a bought Wii Fit.
Fat-Cat @ Nov 18th 2009 11:18PM
Buy a running machine, then equip it with some sort of motorized vice that monitors your heart rate.
You're welcome Nintendo.
Clavius @ Nov 17th 2009 11:27PM
Hmm.. I live in the Boston Area.. may check this out.
brian @ Nov 17th 2009 11:28PM
man, they need to find a real method to make me exercise.
like a running game that grabs my balls really tight, and the faster you run the less it hurts.
turns off after 1km of running
brian @ Nov 17th 2009 11:28PM
you're welcomed nintendo

So you like that bondage stuff, huh?
brian @ Nov 17th 2009 11:33PM
noooo, if i liked it then the incentive would be for it to tighten the faster you go.
you see, 2 different settings for 2 different groups.
SoshiKitai @ Nov 18th 2009 12:38AM
How about an action adventure running game? Run and battle?
....metroid? Zelda? Mario? I dunno.
Uncontrol @ Nov 17th 2009 11:30PM
Surprised you didn't post a picture of a disabled person.
No seriously, you should apologize for the picture instead of just changing it and ignoring everyone.
WREturns [Planeteer I Power of The Final Countdown] Personal Shopper of the ATDF @ Nov 17th 2009 11:39PM
Good thing the Supreme Court has ruled that people don't have a right not to be offended.
No seriously, get over it.
Phylogenetics @ Nov 18th 2009 12:27AM
I believe Alex posted the picture of the dog. This article is from JC.
Solace @ Nov 17th 2009 11:32PM
the only way you could make me drive from ny to boston to visit EA Sports Active store is if I'm promised Peter Moore will be there.
Darth Bradwart, The Dark Lord of the Sith-ATDF Co-Founder @ Nov 17th 2009 11:33PM
Or Bobby Kotick.
Bobby Kotick - Co-Founder of the ATDF @ Nov 17th 2009 11:38PM
Huh? What's going on?
Bobby Kotick - Co-Founder of the ATDF @ Nov 17th 2009 11:42PM
Okay, fine. But I don't want to hear one single Paramore song. Get it?
brian @ Nov 17th 2009 11:48PM

brian @ Nov 17th 2009 11:49PM

No Kill Tayler @ Nov 18th 2009 12:04AM
I wonder...
Can I walk in and instantly loose my chubbiness?
mortegro545 @ Nov 18th 2009 1:15AM
Hmm. I live in the Boston area as well. I may have to stop in and check this out if for no other reason than the novelty of it.
Ugkul @ Nov 18th 2009 2:22AM
Seriously it looks like there's another class of gamers that's folks are marketing to; the exercise gamers. I play EA Sports Active more than any other game I've bought in the last four months and definitely will get More Workouts.
Ossot @ Nov 18th 2009 7:23AM
So let me get this straight. The fitness game everyone knows about - Open actual live stores to promote it. The other titles, such as DSE, bitch about poor sales after doing absolutely no marketing.
Solid.
J.Goodwin @ Nov 18th 2009 9:49AM
Ha, I totally didn't need to click through to guess the address of that store. Talk about distinctive neighborhoods.
jimmy @ Nov 18th 2009 10:01AM
should be noted that the area of the boston location is probably the highest retail rent in the entire city. they're going after the affluent crowd with this
