So a specific type of game that doesn't ever sell on a specific system gets ported to other systems where that type of game sells?

No surprise there. Well, except the fact that this doesn't happen with 99% if Wii "hardcore" exclusives that sell like sh*t.

But you see, it didn't sell like shit. It sold well. Really well. Suda was overjoyed.

It sold well?

I heard it didn't sell too well, so that's my mistake. Of course I don't own and will likely never purchase a Wii, and NPD numbers aren't an obsession of mine (I buy what I want and am happy doing so), so knowing how each and every game does isn't a concern of mine - I just overhear it from other sources.

Please be true.

I enjoyed what little I played of NMH but the graphics put me off and I didn't think the wii controls added much.

Would love a 360 port.

Oh and from seeing the magazine scans, it's gonna look pretty much the same anyway. Sucks to be you.

I didn't consider this a reason to buy the Wii, but having the option to play on either the 360 or PS3 is sweet. Good news for everyone wanting to play!

You can still buy it for like $10-15, or $20 if you want Red Steel with it too.

This will be an interesting experiment, to see if the long standing arguments of the HD fanboys (that these games went to the wrong platform) will prove true

Though it sounds to me like they're making these versions specifically so they can appeal more to the Japanese (JP voice dubs, erotic mode), so it's appearance westward is up in the air

To truly have an accurate comparison the games would need to be released at the same time on each platform. I think it's going to be hard to convince PS360 gamers to buy these games in droves when they're out over a year later than the original release. In the end it's going to hinge on pricing ... if they price these games at $59.99 they're probably going to fail but I'd say somewhere around $39.99 - $49.99 would be the sweet spot to sales success. The quality of the port will be equally important in convincing gamers to buy or re-buy these games on the PS360.

Sounds like it's a quick and dirty port. No real, new content being added (unless you consider LESS clothes to be MORE content :p). I don't think Grasshopper is even involved, as Suda51 has stated that he wanted to keep NMH on Nintendo systems (and that the next sequel won't not arrive until Wii's successor does). This is probably done entirely by Marvelous (the publisher) as they previously stated interest in porting Wii games to PS3/360.

It should also be a good experiment to see if adding/subtracting motion controls will improve a game by a significant amount.

I'm going to go ahead and hypothesize that removing the motion controls in No More Heroes would make it less fun.

The game was fun on the Wii, I'm sure it will still be great on PS3 and X360. But, the motion control was fun on the Wii, however.

What are the chances of this version supporting the PS3 motion controller / Xbox360's Natal?

I have a feeling this game is going to score somewhere around the 7s, unless they rectify some of the problems the original game had, like the open worlds and the sidequests...

Face it, the PS3 / 360's have seen far better open-world games than this one...

Though, I still say that people should give this a try, for its witty dialogues, humour and the story.

Congrats PS360 owners. You get to enjoy a fun, entertaining, and hilarious game now (if sloghtly repetitive...)!

Though as some people have said (and this doesn't apply to most owners of those consoles, as they don't have their heads up their asses...), I can't help but marvel at the fact your excited of a Wii game being ported to your console...k

As such, Solace's responses here have been hilarious and tmac is well...tmac. Still has my head scrathching on why he'd buy a Wii when another person who'd really enjoy it will miss out this holliday.

The only game. Seriously? Seriously? It's 2 year old, you couldn't find any other game worthy of a Wii purchase?

Uh... this comes off as pretty silly... considering that other than the cool style & funny story/characters the Wiimote was the best thing about the game. Remember when you got your first phone call in the game? Or when you performed your first suplex? How about that final energy beam slash? Would it still be as cool/fun doing all those things without the Wiimote?

hmm not sure about everything here, only read up about NMH but I think taking it away from the wiimote won't give you that same feel, not for the better... but thats just a guess

You know what? I tried to play No More Heroes after beating MadWorld. Bad move. I couldn't even play it anymore. And thus, MadWorld reigns supreme as the only Wii game I ever beat, among Smash, Mario Galaxy, NMH, and....does the Wii have more than 4 games?

My eyes are open, but I don't consider shovelware to be real games. In no way, shape, or form, will I ever think "Wii Carnival Games" to be held in the same respect as, say, "Zelda", or even "Wario Ware" for that matter.

Yes, there's Sam and Max, Bikini Zombie Slayers, Nights, and more. There's many of good games, but no advertisement. This is also the reason why we never got to see Winter. Or Snow, or white. I don't remember the game's name anymore, but it looked amazing.
Also, Silent Hill Shattered Memories.

Why does this conversion (don't get me wrong, i love NMH and I will buy the ps3 version) happen so painlessly and quickly, but a HD remake of Panzer Dragoon Orta will probably never see our eyes? It's a cruel cruel world

Loved it on the Wii. Will likely double dip if it's truly a graphically enhanced version of the game and not a simple port with an upgrade in resolution.

@samfish [wants to know: do midgets have night vision?]

Or I bought it and I haven't really gotten around to starting it yet but held back from selling my Wii until I finished this game because I don't play it because of my 360. But now I'll just sell it, and play it when it comes out on the 360.

I have a lot of other unfinished games I'd rather play over NMH.
