Wesker and his comically large hand and gun can be yours if you choose to pre-order Lost Planet 2 at GameStop, Capcom announced today. The publisher also tossed some screens our way depicting the Resident Evil antagonist with more believable body proportions -- specifically, a body structure that doesn't look like someone who was sipping Dr. Jekyll's favorite beverage or shooting up with Chris Redfield's "special" juice.

Well, except for this image, which makes us feel kinda weird.

he's right. At RE1, Wesker was pretty much the coolest villain ever. I LOVE RE1's Wesker. Now, he's apparently been genetically altered, which is a fictional situation that isn't that many layers from reality, but it somehow allows him to warp around a room at the speed of light? Dude's a douchebag now. The RE story is such a joke at this point. The series had hilariously bad voice acting to begin with, but at least it started out with a more classic zombie story. Wesker was a badass then. Now, he's a washed up anime bad guy.

The reply system hasn't changed in years (ever since the day it was implemented). Any self respecting Joystiq commenter knows once one makes a comment on an article that isn't a reply any later attempts at replying requires one to hit the reply button twice (it also helps to look above your little comment box to see if it reads "replying to RandomDouchebag [Undo]" otherwise quite obviously you won't be replying to anyone).

Thank you Silicon Siren for that helpful information. I've been coming here for around 4 years and know about the reply system. Silly me to think that a button should work the FIRST time you click it...

Are we seriously pissed off because we want Wesker (a Resident Evil character) in our Lost Planet 2 copy on launch? You do know there will likely be 100 other character models and knowing Capcom they will sell alternate character skins just a day or two after the game releases. Perhaps we should better direct and focus our nerd rage away from silly preorder bonus's and towards something more productive.

I think people are just irate at being denied content to a game simply because they don't or can't buy the game from a specific retailer. I mean, trinkets are fine and all, but I think most people like to feel that when they buy a game they are getting the same experience everyone else that bought it is.

@Uncontrol, you would be surprised how difficult it is to go to gamestop.com and place a preorder to ship on launch. Wowee, that was so hard. Life is hard. Why is everything so difficult whine moan.

although I think the current Wesker is a complete joke of a character compared to how awesome he was in RE1, gotta say I think it's cool that Capcom throws characters into other games as unlockables and such. Mega Man was the perfect unlockable for Lost Planet 1
