Comrade Nelson sends word that a demo for Tropico 3, the 2010-bound sim being published by Kalypso Media, is now available for download on Xbox Live. The game takes place during the Cold War on the fictitious island of Tropico, where players take up the role of new usurper El Presidente. The real question is: Will you be the valiant, selfless leader your up-and-coming nation needs, or will you be the greedy, power-hungry dictator your coffers cry out for?

Have the game on the PC, and it is awesome. Everyone should check it out, although I do not know how the controls will work on the controller.

I loved the other Tropico games. Is it just as engaging or did they dumb it down?

It is just as fun as the previous games. It definitely is more streamlined, but you do have to pay attention to all the thigns going on, and you have to ensure that your plan is sound.
There have been many times where my island had a large trade surplus, but I made one mistake and went into debt.
