In a world where things like extreme Bible-reading apps exist, it was hard for us at first to accept that Mass: We Pray could be anything other than legit. After watching the alleged (read: probably fake) developer Prayer Works Interactive's over the top trailer for the game, though, we were fairly confident in casting doubt on the game's veracity. A quick WHOIS of the game's official homepage revealed nothing, and our email to the company was met with a boilerplate auto-response denying our request for more information.
Add to that the complete lack of any business records with the Massachusetts Secretary of State's office (the company's alleged home state) nor in business-friendly Delaware, and the possibly offensive included accessories, and we've got a maybe viral ad/maybe hoax on our hands. If we were the speculating types, we might posit that this has something to do with Dante's Inferno and a tie-in to a particular ring of Hell – Heresy or Fraud, perhaps? Either way, give the aforementioned trailer a gander after the break and see for yourself exactly why we're so skeptical.

I do actually respect whatever people choose to believe in, I do not in fact "LOL" @ them. And it's good to know that people here (well, most of them) hold that same respect for others.
I've always wanted a game based on the Old Testament that included a challenge where David has to collect foreskins from dead soldiers in order to get a wife from Saul. I think this Biblical story is the first historical appearance of a gather quest.
So can I blame god for those bullshit gather quests in Borderlands then? Nothing like spending twenty minutes trying to find a flipping revolver barrel.

I have to disagree about the college thing as there are plenty of people with different beliefs who go through college and graduate all the time. I do believe, however (at least for me), college is great at making you think critically about the world around you.
Now, as for religion being funny, I do find a lot of beliefs from various religions to be funny and sometimes sad (they still burn people in Africa if they're suspected of being witches). Right, college: when you are taught to think "independently" and end up lapping up your professor's hypocritical "atheism" for his/her approval. Yep sounds a lot like some of my college friends.
So colleges turn condescending, self-righteous religious kids into condescending, self-righteous atheist kids. Great - what an improvement. Either way you are left with a bunch of bellicose zealots who seem to equate "I believe x" with "I am f'ing certain of x and everyone who disagrees is blind/weak/and idiot."
I'm not convinced that a college experience opens a closed mind so much as it opens one mental door and closes another. (And that is not to fault higher education for not forcibly prying closed minds open; garbage in ,garbage out.)
BTW: I personally would feel better if you revealed that you have dual doctorates in Philosophy and Theology. And if so, you should post a link to your theses. That would be kind of cool.

Sigh, come now people. This has to be a joke. There's nothing about Wii Pray that smacks of reality. Let's focus on that and leave attacks on religions out of this. Such a response is either the goal of those who put this together or it's not, but either way reacting that way is petty (a word which here means, "small-minded").
