Video: Bayonetta gets creative with death
38
Apparently it's not good enough to simply dispatch enemies these days. No, in these modern times, one must also torture them before they die. At least, that would appear to be the stance of Platinum Games' Bayonetta. The latest video released for the game explains the magic system. In short, landing successive blows on enemies without being struck fills the magic bar, allowing Bayonetta to unleash some particularly nasty finishing moves. For example she can summon a guillotine, stomp a foe's head right onto the chopping block and then drop the blade with a snap of her fingers.

can only get so creative without smashing a head in the ground with a titty.....now when a game does that....I'll say THATS a creative death...

Smashing a head in the ground with a titty.
I really have no worthwhile comment to add to that. I just felt compelled to repeat it.

Bayonetta is dead to me. Maybe if they didn't half ass the PS3 port I'd actually give a damn but at this point I'd be lying if I said this game actually meant something to me. I'd rather them just make it a 360 exclusive than release a substandard game on the PS3. Maybe if Sega / Platinum understood their audience (primarily on the PS3) they would have delayed the game and made improvements.

Delaying it would mean spending more money when the game is pretty much finished.
Sega's thinking "we'll make a shitty port , and if they're really bothered by it we can just make a patch later".

I also have a Wii and I used to have a 360. It's not poor me it's poor them because they are losing out on potential sales when the quality of the title is substandard on the PS3.

Oh please, the PS3 port doesn't look that bad. I could see you not being interested in the game in general. (Especially if you're not into games like this and DMC) but if you WERE interested in the game and a few seconds of extra loading and a few shadows missing turned you off of it completely, that seems kind of petty. The 360 version may be "better" but there's nothing missing in the PS3 version that would stop you from enjoying it just as much.

I stopped caring about this game once I realized that the ps3 version wasn't up to par w/ the 360 version. If I see the game for 20$ used some where, i'll buy it then but I won't support a game that the developers can't make equal on different platforms. Lazy.

I stopped caring about people who say they don't care about this game after the 30th time. If you really don't care then how come you keep clicking on Bayonetta articles?

Haha, no kidding. I don't get all this "Waaaah PS3 version sucks so I hate the game now and the devs are lazy!" talk. It's not like the PS3 version sends a guy over to your house to kick you in the groin. It looks slightly worse than the 360 version and load times are a bit longer, oh noes! Welcome to like every cross platform game everywhere. There are always going to be games that look better on one console over another.
Besides, it sounds like Sega wants to patch the game to fix those issues anyways.

Or maybe if Sony didn't half ass and not provide support for developers like PG then you wouldn't have these inferior ports. Yeah, the finished product is so bad that it scored a few points below the 360. Have you even played the demo. Without playing the 360 version, I highly doubt you would be able to notice anything wrong with the game unless it was pointed out by a side by side comparison.
Also, the only reason you are acting like a tool over this game is that the 360 comes out on top. Well the 360 comes out on top on a hell of a lot of games but I am sure you played those games and happily didn't care.
In the end, the PS3 version has some problems but isn't the key is that the game plays great. Yes, the visuals are a touch off the 360 and there are a few extra seconds loading time. At least the game gives you something to do during those extra seconds so you might not even notice and if you are not playing the 360 version along with the PS3 version you also would not notice any difference.

I can't believe they put in a Chair of Torture (or at least something that looks like it). Way to bring in medieval torture devices into a video game. O_o
