I'm in - any idea where we have to order from?

(I'm hoping you can get this at major retailers (or e-tailers) like Amazon. I've heard a lot of stories about people buying games directly from the producers, and it takes them like 5 days post-release to even ship the damn things. I mean, they aren't used to selling stuff, and it's not their core-competency, but if you're aware that your product is cool enoguh to put out a special edition, you should be aware that gamers want it on Day-1!!)

So yeah, in short - please send me the amazon pre-order link :)

That looks so much cooler than the God Of War Ultimate Edition (which is the same price, and mainly consists of DLC).
Good to see physical products bundled at a relatively reasonable price...still seems a little expensive for $40 more.

I was thinking the same thing. The GOW III box is awesome, but there's almost nothing in it.

My main problem with the Pandora's Box wasn't the lack of content, but the lack of surfaces in my house I could actually put it on.

Eh..Vinyl isn't cheap these days, Consider the soundtrack could be $15 on CD, and then the Vinyl may be $20-25...Quickly compensates that extra $40

So preordering this tomarrow :)

I was a little shocked at the GOW3 ultimate edition at first but when I thought about it a little more it started to make sense. The problem with collector's editions like this (with a lot of "physical things") is that you'll only look through everything once and thats about it (how many of you are actually going to use the vinyl? or are you just going to look at it for a second then put it back in the box with all the other included stuff to keep it safe?). I would rather have a pile of DLC that enhances the game experience overall

also... the pandora's box looks pretty friggin sweet

$99 isn't to bad for a special edition, although I'm not going to get it, still a pretty good deal for everything.

Mine is over 40 years old and still works great, just needs occasional cleaning and needle replacement. You can get new ones with USB capabilities for around $100 now, and if you have a good used record store nearby with a discount section, it will have paid for itself after a dozen or so records. But yeah, Bioshock LP? I'm sold.

If I still used physical media, I'd probably rock vinyl myself. But wireless streaming/control is just so handy, and you definitely can't get the Xbox to sub in non-digital music during gaming.

I swore that I was going to stop buying both records (I'm running out of room for them) and special edition games (they tend to be wastes of money,) but I seriously might have to get in on this.

Would those posters happen to be the same ones that they rolled up into the plastic wine bottles they scattered across beaches a little while ago?

Because, uhh...well, you'd have a not-so-happy BioShock fan who splurged on eBay.

Regular editions are aimed at average joes who judge based on the cover, and need to be drawn in by action-filled art. Special editions are for the fans who already know what's up, so a subtle nod to the source is good enough, and classy

For more examples of this, compare single-disc DVDs to the 8-disc director's cut version.

Actually a lot of it is hard to find and rather rare, mainly because many of the songs are very, very old and not particularly well known.
