BioShock 2 Special Edition vinyl-y announced

*sigh* Not a bad set - too bad they're releasing this game with *everything else*. I can't get it simply for lack of funds. I've got at least 5 other games within 6 weeks of this release that I want too. >

I thought that the record from the teaser site satisfied my need for BioShocky vinyl, but goddamnit, this too? I'm going to lose a lot of money in February.

Wow. That is quite the price tag for not much stuff.

An art book and soundtrack for $40 more? I'm in. That's about what it'd cost separately, anyway. The posters are ok - those designs seem kind of bland for the level of creepy in the game, though.

The record...well, I've never owned one, so there's a novelty in that, I suppose. But, please, answer me this...

What's with the butterfly?

Hmmm...I'm a little skeptical with the soundtrack that comes in these special editions nowadays. I bought the SE for MGS4 because it had the "soundtrack" only to find out that it was just a sampler with only a fraction of the 47 songs. I ended up picking up the complete soundtrack elsewhere.

Recently, I picked up the SE version of Assassin's Creed 2 and saw that it had the soundtrack in the package. Once again, I was fooled. The soundtrack was maybe only 12 songs whereas the full soundtrack is on 2 discs! To add insult to injury, the "soundtrack" is on a DVD/Blu-Ray and you can't export it off! Absolutely worthless!

I think that I'll let this SE slide, get the regular copy of the game and look for the soundtrack on iTunes or something.

Oh yeah the quality is great since it's coming from a better material, that's why DJ's still use it and because they can afford to with all that space under their decks. And we got a new player last christmas with a radio built in 8)
